Why? Don't people claim Loma is a small 135 pounder? And I'm pretty sure he is the one that said he can make 130 no problem.

If they make a match up between these two, doesn't make sense to make it at 135 unless Loma picks up a win. If he beats Lopez in a rematch or something? Then yeah, it would need to happen at 135. Right now though? At 130.

Arum is hiding Shakurs computer right now as we speak. He doesn’t want Shakur anywhere near a top 5 guy for maybe 2 more years.

He just said to Snowqueen he's done at 130, 135 only. Youtube it.

For all the talent Stevenson has, last night left me worried about what he will do when he gets pushed and plan A and B aren't working. Didn't show much variety or depth last night. It's fair to say he hasn't had to so far or been forced to, but if I'm with TR I'd start to worry these kind of opponents might stagnate his development. Loma would be way too much of a jump right now imo. Now if he beats Herring in the Fall and another top 10 type guy this year, then maybe he will be ready, but right now I think Loma would drown him the later that fight goes, something like Usyk vs Hunter.

Let me propose another fight; Stevenson vs GRJ at 130, how do we think that goes?

The new interview where he said he sees Teofimo as undisputed? I'll check it out sometime this week. Thanks.

The thing is Herring is very basic and it's going to turn into a pure boxing match and Shakur will just out point him. That's not the fight that will answer the questions you have for Shakur. I believe Valdez answers some questions but let's be real, do you see that fight going any other way aside from a Shakur wide decision win?

I actually think Loma is the guy that makes Shakur work and answers all the questions about how he will handle adversity and if he can win fighting his current style. They have some sparring history as well but I think that was when Shakur was just starting out.

I like this fight! But I suspect that Shakur would just be too big for GRJ? But this fight intrigues me.

                    How about Stevenson vs Colbert?

Valdez showed a lot more boxing ability in his last fight and he's got the game ender in that left hook, so I won't rule it out, but yes, I'd favor a Shakur decision stylistically. I'd favor a Shakur decision over Herring as well, but I'm not as convinced that's such a sure thing. It would still probably be the best win of Shakur's career. I'm always hesitant about guys that have faced NO adversity on the way up. I really think Loma would box the **** out of him and whoop him from round 5 on. We have no idea what Shakur will do if he's put under pressure or faced with a guy that can land on him, but I'm not encouraged based off how reserved he was against a guy in Nakathila who was way out of his depth and couldn't land a thing. The low workrate is incredibly worrisome as well, it's easy to rack up points when a guy can't land on you, but if his workrate remains similar, it won't take much for guys to nip close rounds against him in the future.
