Possibly a good fight, but one useless fight nevertheless. If joyce wins he has nothing more than before. If takam - by chance - wins he'll be up to a rematch and both fighters will not be good for a major title.

fan of takam but he needs to retire, the big stiff idiot will just walk through him and underwater punch him into submission
pissed we dont get to see Usyk V Joyce now..was looking forward to that, this is a utterly pointless fight.

considering it apparently wasn't good enough then, no its not a good enough fight for Joyce now.
Mind you AJ was already defending world titles 4 years ago. Joyce has been pro the same amount of time now and is facing the shell of a guy AJ beat FOUR YEARS AGO
go wobble your head.

Aside from the top few guys. I think Joyce beats all the top 15 Heavyweights.
He's really Big with a solid jab , Good chin and good power.
Plus he's an Olympian. So he has solid amateur experience.
The knock on him might be that's he's slow AF. But that long solid jab and good chin make up for some of that lack of speed.Slowhand likes this.

IMO the only way Usyk does is if they use a Huge ring and he jabs his way to a decision while actually engaging as little as possible.

Takam has seen better days but still a decent fighter at 40. It recent years it seems like 40 is the new 30. That can be said in all sports nowadays. Players & fighters in better shape into their late 30s more now than anytime before. I think Joyce wins but it won’t be easy because Takam is kind of a similar fighter so this could actually be a good scrap with more fireworks than people think.

I also questioned his quality. But changed my mind after sitting and actually taking time to look at his style.
Now. I'm not comparing them ... But another Heavyweight who was said to be " slow " with a good punch and a solid chin was George Foreman.
His career didn't turn out too bad.
