Never lose to a pig. Stevenson by UD. Then he washes Valdez or Herring in the Fall.

I think he just meant that he isn't losing to a guy that has a day job (in this case a cop.) Not because he hates police.

Not really the take I got when he doubled down by saying he wasn't "losing to 5-0". Skakur has his work cut out for him; He's a skilled fighter who doesn't have the temperament or power to be exciting and he doesn't seem to have the charisma to draw fans in.

And any of these kinds of people may be classy and not have a hood mentality. But that is the group that you are placed in when you hate cops.

Now does this post go towards the families who had a loved one who was a victim of police injustice? Or a friend who lost a friend in a senseless crime in the hands of the police? Or someone who has had interactions with police and were harassed while not committing any crime and violating any rules? No. Obviously, we have those types of posters here who side with cops no matter what. Even if they’re clearly in the wrong. And those are just racist ass posters and there is no hope for them. If there is a hell, they will likely go there.

But what does Shakur Stevenson know about what type of cop Jeremia Nakathila is? What if he’s a great officer to his community? What if he is a great role model to the kids of his community? A police officer and pro boxer who follows his dreams and made it out of poverty or whatever life he had? Nakathila is a black guy just like Stevenson, who more than likely had it rougher than him growing up. So Stevenson needs to keep his childish mouth closed about the man’s occupation. He should show the man respect, as he most likely is working both jobs (boxer, cop) to give his kids a better life than he had.
I agree with most of your post. Very well thought out and engaging. I think I mentioned in another post that him losing to anyone who's a part time fighter would be an embarrassment considering his pedigree. I think it just so happens we know he's a cop and Shakur ran with it. Hell, he could've been a custodian or something and I don't think the statement would've drawn similar responses although he would still be a working man trying to support his family as you mentioned.

I'm very observant of how people respond to things and the language they use in regards to certain people or events. Shakur is in his early 20s and a rising prizefighter from Newark, he's going to pop off at the mouth. Again, I think it's the police having this beyond reproach status that elicited the "backlash" from some. Ultimately, he's still another fighter that is trying to derail Shakur's career and maybe he needed that angle to get up for the fight with an opponent that probably shouldn't be in the ring with him.

Lol, you made some inaccurate assumptions there. It's typical southern strategy stuff, use code words and dog whistles in place of just saying what you really mean then when you're called on it and people undress the root of what your beliefs are based on, then they are called names like "woke", "commies", etc and summarily dismissed.

It's quite predictable and sad at this point.

Obviously there are some bad cops but making out like they're all bad people is akin to saying all people from an ethnic group are criminals or something. They do an important, difficult job.

I swear this should just become an alt-right message board at this point. So many dog whistles and coded language but in real life, people wouldn't say or do ****.
I grew up in the city and we weren't huge fans of cops either. Not really a hood mentality thing, they just got in the way of our "fun". Lol!

There were no “assumptions.” “Alt Right” has been a concocted fantasy by the “woke”, moisty, millenial, pumpkin ****e, soy boy crowd. The white ******** that sit around having ****tails in their cozy homes listening to poetry readings in an effort to wash the sins of the Bull Conner, Dixiec**** era. When you control the language you control the message. I’m more seasoned at this game than you son. I know “politics” may be a quaint new game to you and I welcome you aboard but make no mistake this is one person who knows his history, the game being played and what the end game is. There are no “code words” in my speech. You’re not going to require a Rosetta Stone translation session. I’m as plain as plain can be.

First and foremost, don't ever address me as son. We don't have that sort of relationship and you're not my father so...

Now to the other part, you know nothing of my background so again, another assumption made by you. I also know history, and I'm absolutely confident in my knowledge of it and how it manifests itself in present day conditions. We can agree that there is a game being played but there are also real lives being affected, which is no game at all.

Also, you're reducing what we're currently dealing with to Bull Conner and the Jim Crow segregation era as if there were not issues that preceded those things? Not sure how far back your vast knowledge of history harkens back to so I don't want to assume.
