They won’t last long at all in the uk

It’s dominated by matchroom, even frank warren was dominated by hearn, so much so, that he is a bitter column writer piggy banking off fury pretending he promotes him lol whilst firing non stop shots at hearn who looks down on him

mind you, I guarantee frank Warren will be on sky sports soon after his failed breakaway as he knows it’s the only way back to be the a player here

I guess a lot of promoters are thinking if they could get with sky sports, they could takeover in the uk

I wonder if they will try to put cards on in the UK.

I know they will be putting some of their USA cards on in the middle of the night but I don’t think it’s going to have a huge impact unless it’s a really big fight. They should try to do a good UK show every couple of months, Plus they have fighters like Josh Taylor and could pick up some other good British fighters.

As it stands, You’re not exactly going to have massive amount of British boxing fans staying up until five in the morning to watch Shakur Stevenson.

Yeah, the Taylor fight will be in the UK. I like it, but they probably need to sign some UK Olympians that will turn pro.

I asked this last week but say the likes of Crawford, Spence, Tank, Charlos etc came and fought in the UK, would people turn up to watch them or they would have to fight a Brit for that to happen? Like not Crawford vs Brook but let's say Crawford vs Porter or Spence vs DSG, how well does it do in terms of attendance there?

          Pretty good I think

British boxing fans love a night out, and tickets generally sell well. I can’t see why they wouldn’t do decent numbers in London with the right fight, even if none are British. Crawford v Porter would be a big enough fight in world boxing, so I think they could easily host it in the UK and sell tickets.

Sadly I see us as mostly casual nationalistic fans. I always felt prime Floyd could've drawn a big crowd but something like Crawford vs Porter wouldn't get the attention, revenue it deserved if it happened in the UK.

Interesting, then I believe TR needs to try to put some of their guys in the UK. Get some of the younger fighters in the UK like Lopez or Stevenson etc. A guy like Stevenson isn't selling anything aside from maybe his hometown. So TR should put him in the UK, preferably against a Brit if possible and get his name more known to that audience.

Hoping TR puts on some quality shows in the UK with this deal. Sky can end up making just fine if they do deals like this one.

Got it, so mainly it would need to be against another Brit? I think Davis vs Walsh did pretty good numbers?

So looks like TR will need to sign some Olympians or top amateurs turning pro. TR is really good at that though and good at building up prospects.
