    Will depend on his durability…

We haven’t seen Plant take much punishment in his career thus far.

I called stoppage for Round 6 in BJS fight.

mike Lee and Feigenbutz are not proper ways to prep for Canelo. I say Round 5 TKO tbh. Canelo is a very very dangerous puncher. The momentum from his weight when he throws is too much for any 168lbr. Only David Benavidez imho will want to get hurt by Canelo… while it lasts… thing is David never been hit by guys like Canelo with 10oz gloves.

fans need to start realizing how dangerous Canelo is.

Plant possibly frustrates him a bit early on with all the lateral movement but Canelo will adapt, adjust and will ultimately stop Plant IMO.
That is a huge possibility. I understand and respect Plant in trying to tell the public that he is better in many ways compared to Saunders, but when analyzing Plant's performances and competition, I do not see him really doing anything fantastic on Canelo.

That's a good point too, but Plant's performance against Truax was not too impressive considering his next fight being Canelo. I feel Plant should have made a statement against Truax but he really didn't. Plus, he hurt his hand AGAIN. He hurt his hand before the originally scheduled Uztecati fight and had to postpone. Plant has fragile hands, so if his hand gets hurt against Canelo, Canelo will most likely beat Plant down.

Very well said, I agree, Lee, Feigenbutz, Uztegati, nor Truax will prep Plant for Canelo, no way man. I think Plant will do decent though but he does not have the power to phase Canelo, Canelo is a freaking bull and you need power to make Canelo think twice.

Yeah I just don’t see Plant having the power to keep Canelo off, once Canelo closes the distance and begins walking him down, I see the fight becoming quite one sided. I do rate Plant and think he has some skills but it’s just a case of levels. Canelo looks so polished now as a fighter, I don’t really see anyone troubling him at 168 out of the current crop of fighters. Maybe that Morrell kid in a few years but that’s a long way off.

Yes, I’m sure he will get a sweat on but it won’t be his hardest nights work by any stretch of the imagination.

Yes. Plant isn’t ready. He’s too green.
