Ko “no names” - exactly!! Doesn’t necessarily translate into “power”. Pernell Whitaker - 17 kos..Gamboa - 18 kos…Lsc - 19 kos…are they considered power punchers?? Obviously not but with ur logic of the kos being against “pro fighters” i guess they r to u.”Kos are Kos”

I'm sure you were aware of that. I get it though, you hate Tank. That's cool, but it's unfair to hate on Barrios!Last edited by IRONCHINHAGLER; 06-10-2021, 12:33 PM.

Taking on the 10th ranked junior ww for a “regular” vacant paper title is no risk. Call it what it is - a cherry-pick title grab against an average fighter who happens to have a HISPANIC last name to sell ppvs and so Pbc can sell Davis as a 3 division title holder. Haymon obviously knows it wont sell against an average black or white fighter. To ur other points - so r saying Gamboa was or is a “power puncher” at anytime in his career? What ko was so impressive and showed he had above average power? Barrios coming off a ko….against some nobody U STATED he was EXPECTED to DESTROY- wat does that prove? And comparing Akmedov to Loma in ANY way is just ridiculous! Just bc ur 7/0 with 7 kos doesn’t mean u deserve a title shot…even for a crap VACANT title! Loma gave GRJ his 1st and ONLY loss in his 3rd pro fight in a 50/50 fight so dont compare him to an average fighter with a suspect chin. And wats ur pick in this so called “test” or as Ellerbe put “risky” fight for Davis? R u with the rest of the entire boxing world with a. Easy Davis ko??? Or do u really believe Barrios has any chance in hell to win? This fight is about on par with the LSC mismatch.

A special two-way gamble involving two unified featherweight title belts was held at Las Vegas Nevada's Palms Casino Resort on the eve of the fateful September 11 anniversary last Saturday.
The undisputed WBA World Featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (18-0-0 15KO) took the seasoned defending IBF Featherweight champion Orlando Salido (34-10-2 22KO 1NC) through 12 rounds of boxing, which was concluded with him padding yet another victory unto his untarnished record.
Taking a look at the participants before the bout; Gamboa, 28, boasted a spotless reputation in the ring—acclaimed for his 83.33 knock-out percentage and his consistent routing of international opponents—which he established mainly in the United States, as he now fights out of Florida despite his Cuban heritage.

Yeah. Gamboa used to be considered a puncher! Didn't he drop Crawford? Gamboa beat the younger version of Salido. Lomachenko lost to the older version! If you know boxing, you know the Euros get fast tracked because of their talent level. Same for Akhmedov and Madrimov, and keep an eye out for Daniyar Yeleussinov!
Yes, I do give Barrios a chance to win this fight! I believe Tank moved to 140 because he's LAZY! That's gonna catch up to him soon, and June 26th just might be the day!

One ko in 5 yrs…they say the “power” is the LAST thing to go. Assuming u consider Gamboa a power puncher since u wont answer the question. Everyone else is predicting a Ko for Davis in this showcase mismatch. There is nothing Barrios does well to prevent Davis from walking him down…stands straight up and down and throws a lunging right hand…wide open for a counter left. Davis will easily ko him with a left - probably to the body. If Davis fails to Ko b-level Barrios- he is definitely overrated.

Looking back now, he wasn't all that, but he was well respected back in the day! Like I also said, he beat the younger, better version, of Oralndo Salido. The older, fatter, weaker version, of the same man beat Lomachenko! So if Davis fails to KO Barrios @ 140, in his first fight @ 140, he's "definitely overrated?" So what did you think about Lomachenko losing to old-ass Salido? GTFOH!Last edited by IRONCHINHAGLER; 06-10-2021, 03:00 PM.
