ryan garcia is bigger than manny pacquiao. by a lot. he's taller, got a longer reach, he started at lightwheight where manny started at 105 lbs. the difference is age. pacquiao is 42. garcia walks around heavier but fights smaller becuase he's young and he has the metabolism and the youth needed to go through that kind of transformation. if you paid pacquiao the kind of money made to fight floyd mayweather he'd easily make 140 lbs, probably make 135 without any fuss.

weight for a weight in isn't necessarily as important as walking around weights, best sparring weights, weights on fight night. some of these guys put on 20 lbs in 30 hours. pacquiao certainly does not. alex ariza used to have him eat 5000--7000 calories a day and he weighed in at 143, 144, 145, etc.

the narrative that manny pacuiqao is a big welterweight or even a "natural welterweight" is only pushed by floyd mayweeather fans who would seek to diminish pacquiao's accomplishments by virtue of his size. if they make him appear bigger than he is they will diminish his accomplishments as a weight climber and a challenge taker, which are two of the strengths of his resume

In his peak, 126-135 lbs (not today’s Manny, he can’t cut at his age)

        140 should be his ceiling

look at his body frame, his height and reach.

don’t know how he’s able hang on against 147 lbers till now.

People know that he is an 8 division world champion, 5 lineal. But can't forget he started at flyweight - that he really is a champion across 10 divisions.

            Lightweight in his prime.

            Light welterweight currently.

Right now its 140. There he could make with a comfortable cut. I assume he is still about 150 on fight night.

Pac supposedly walks around under 145, so I'd say at his age, 140 would be his best fight weight.
