I sympathize with the fact that before Cus D'amato adopted him, he had a very hard life in the ******. But after this many years and 400 million dollars with tons of fans, and people supporting you, somewhere along the way you should change for the better somewhat. Look at Foreman he became a different man than his hoodlum youth. Tyson is still the same train wreck that came out of the ****** despite all these people helping him. That's why I have given up on him. you are right he is trash.

Wasn't there a movie made for television called "Tyson" with George C Scott as Cus. In it Tyson did this and Teddy put a gun to his head against a tree. Anywya in the movie I belive the girl was older than 11.

Yeah I saw the movie, great flick. I forget the age of the girl, though.

My favorite part has to be when Tyson smacks rooney for telling him to eat right

well lets not get carried away. all those Tyson-fanatics are craving for old Mike Tyson, the Mike Tyson that Cus Damato created. I have all the respect for Freddy Roach, but who has he created .

yea he let Mike get away with practically everything. But dont some of you wonder what would have happened if Cus had been younger when he met that same Tyson. Whenever I get into a Tyson debate I always bring up the question, "what if Tyson could have work with Cus his whole career?"

what Cus and Mike had was something really special. I know Mike was technically a man when Cus died, but I always look at it more as a young kid who lost his father at an early age. Because of Mike's personality development, I look at it as a 12-13 year old boy losing a father, it can be very tramatic.

As far as the story with Mike looking out the window making faces at Atlas while he was leaving...we dont know if this actually occured. That instance may have been altered for the movie.
As far as Atlas holding Mike at gunpoint, didnt he actually fire the gun in the air as well??

Cus D'amato adopted Tyson so he had a responsibility to raise him the right way. He didn't though. He made him into a warrior in the ring but never adressed his behavior outside the ring there are countless stories of a young Tyson acting up and Cus doing absolutely nothing.

Actually the movie cleaned up the incident of Tyson mocking Atlas from his window. In the movie they only show Tyson smiling and waving bye bye to Atlas to mock him. The information where Tyson actually made faces at him and waved bye bye from his window to mock him came from Atlas's recollection of the story from one of the biographies about Tyson. Face it, Tyson is garbage.

Yeah, in the interview I saw, he said after he said what he said, he fired the pistol into the air to get Mike's attention and let him know that Teddy was for real.
