he's right. vegas gates are 10-15k seats but they absolutely dwarf "stadium fights" in gate numbers.

for some perspective, joshua and klitschko did less at the gate than a washed up bernard hopkins and joe calzaghe did in las vegas. really. go ahead and look it up.

additionally, in vegas they pay YOU to host your fight there. you pay the stadium. the casino pays you. and they make it all back on the tables in 2 nights and get free publicity for months. and if there's a "viral" moment, like a knockout, they get their logo splattered all over the ropes and canvas for eternity as the video circulates.

vegas is the be all end all of boxing. it's the highest concentration of 4 star hotels in the world. there is no more neutral or better suited venue in the world for a big fight.

Mexican fan attendance and undercard appliance is the x-factor in it all. Doesn’t include pandemic restrictions too

Spence vs DSG $2.6mil gate, 16K attendance (includes comp. tix metrics)

Spence vs Mikey $5mil / 46k attendance (Benavidez) (includes comp. tix metrics)

Pac vs Margarito $5.4mil / 41k attendance (includes comp. tix metrics)

Pac vs Clottey $6.3mil / 36k (Castillo undercard) (includes comp. tix metrics)

Canelo vs Saunders $9mil gate / 66k sold (DOES NOT INCLUDE comp. tix metrics) undercard insignificant

Surely number of viewers / tickets is all that counts unless you're a boxer or negotiating as an A side.

Would you rather have Bill Gates pay for one 20 million ticket and sit alone in an arena in Las Vegas that would be the biggest gate ?!!

I believe a Suadi suggested something similar for Fury Klitschko II according to Fury it would have been on a boat and had the biggest gate.

I want to see 100K crowds, countries across the world watching, the atmosphere makes the sport bigger and healthier. I'd like to see Canelo fight in Mexico .. would be mad but not earn much cash.

The numbers seem good when compared with other comparable Canelo fights. Seems low in comparison to GGG fights, but that's because Canelo vs Saunders is a much smaller fight than Canelo vs GGG.
Wow, “ceteris paribus”! I see someone has taken an econ course(s).

You've always come off a RTARD. Why stop now.
as I have said before, his name says it all. At least he should it to something less childish. Defecating, urinating man might work.

i would def pay 100 to see that fight. I been to very few fights because the elite level fights the prices are historically outrageous. only really been to regional level fights because they are affordable.

Cant verify those numbers. Maybe you can post them, but the gist is Vegas is where the money is..

basically, the atmosphere would be something. That Texas stadium has an enormous jumbotron, definitely makes everything justifiable from mid level to high level
