He was roughly the same size as Gatti and Cotto (perhaps a tad smaller), and still enjoyed a significant reach advantage over both, particularly Cotto. I’ll give ya De La Hoya for sure and that was one of his closer fights IMO. Canelo definitely too but he was green and has no business fighting a man as great as Floyd at the time (and still processed a significant reach advantage). I’m not hating on Floyd, he’s in my top 5 all time just like everyone else. But the Manny hate is just too confusing for me. The man is 42 and has the stomach to face the top welterweight in the world. Despite the outcome of the Floyd fight I put both on about equal footing on my all time pound for pound, with maybe Floyd just a little bit higher. But if Manny happened to shock the world and pull off an upset of Spence, I don’t think he will even come close to that, but if he did I’d move him higher than Floyd. I’m just a fan of great fighters man, and that’s what they both are.

Manny is an ATG, I just can't put him up there with Mayweather, especially after Marquez blew his head off! However, longevity does make a difference! I put Manny in the same category as B-Hop, and I put Floyd in the same category as Sweet Pea and Roy Jones Jr.!

That’s fair. It’s all opinion anyway. But getting KO’d by Marquez is nothing be ashamed of. That was a hell of series between those two. And Manny got right back on his horse to conquer more. I’ve just always really respected the Manny’s, Canelo’s, and Roy Jones’ of the world who were willing to go in and **** with the biggest guys they could. Losses mean you challenged yourself. Not to say Floyd didn’t challenge himself, but I don’t think he pushed his limits like those guys so I respect them more.

Yeah I really just don't get it. I know a lot of fans of other fighters have come to despise the Pacquiao fanbase but so because of some fans on the internet you hate and despise the man himself? I mean some of these folks here really, really hate this guy's guts. The dude came from absolutely nothing, rose to superstardom by being an absolutely amazing offensive force, the guy is the definition of an action packed fan-friendly fighter, is a phenomenal human being who despite the absurd novel length list of accolades and accomplishments is still ridiculously humble -- and he's still fighting at an elite level at age 42 -- yet still people hate him? The guy has done so much for the sport and would probably give you the shirt off his back if he saw you on the street without one. But I think there's some people here who'd probably celebrate if he died in the ring.

tarver blew jones head off so i dont get it. you put roy with floyd even though he got ko'd? why the difference? pac has a better resume than roy does he not? both guys were getting older and got caught by their biggest rival. it happens. roy never beat another top 10 fighter after that. pac still went on to beat many good fighters and should have even beat floyd since he landed the much cleaner punches. floyd wasnt in his prime of course but in his prime floyd lost to castillo as well so its not like he was unbeatable. no one is. looking at wins is what matters(and not boxrec wins but what really happened). looking at who you fought and when matters.

I didn’t watch it but it must have been bad. I got IMMEDIATE texts from my MMA friends just laughing about how bad Floyd embarrassed boxing. Then I see tons of things social media basically doing the same thing or claiming that Floyd lost or that Paul did better than Canelo so he’s clearly better and that boxing takes no talent. Thanks Floyd. I guess Floyd gets to fade away with his money and people who dislike Floyd get the satisfaction of watching him ruin his legacy and limp away from the spotlight forever. His credibility is shot now and boxing takes a massive black eye yet again.

Floyd again took boxing hostage.. And he took a huge hit with his stint with Logan.. But what is even worse is he dragged boxing down with him.

Now casuals will think Boxers aren't that good look what Logan did to a self proclaimed TBE! That is the narrative that will sink in too many casuals.. That's what Floyd did. He fuvked up the boxing scene again.. And for what? Money..

Hopefully Floyd's clown show is at a halt..

But something tells me when he goes bankrupt.. He'll step up to the ring again.. it never ends for these types of men.

It does matter! Like Mayweather beating Oscar @ 154 was better than Pacquiao beating Oscar @ 147. And knocking Hatton out first matters! And beating Mosely, after he beat Margarito is better than the Mosely Manny fought! I put Roy over Pacquiao because of how he fought, and same goes for Sweet Pea! Whitaker, Jones, and Mayweather, are 3 of the best to ever do it! They were on a whole different level!
