Hurd's time passed. He probably would've made a lot of money with Charlo in a 2-fight deal. Instead he needed to fight "a right-hander, or two."

Let this be a lesson to other fighters. Better to get your ass beat, and make money fighting the best, than cherry-pick the wrong guy, and end up being a PBC on Fox guy, nobody cares about.

Only if it was a contest to see who can absorb the most punches would you have won...

        Arias clearly won

Arias should fight like that more often. From the fights I’ve seen him, he’s never that aggressive. He’s not really a great boxer either so I think he’s better off rolling the dice like that.

I just don’t see Hurd being real threat at 154 or 160 anymore.

Not sure what happened to Hurd when he was coming up he looked good up until the Harrison fight where he was being outboxed for most the fight until he landed that big right hand but aside from that he has looked terrible since even with his new trainer. I think he looks worse than before he's not a boxer he's a brawler he needed to be in shape to cut off the ring and keep that constant pressure but he looked fat in there like he spent all camp just trying to get to 160. Discipline is his downfall it seems and I don't think he will ever return to form unless he makes some big changes and keeps his weight down year round. If he keeps fighting like the Arias fight he's going to develop CTE for sure.

I missed the first couple rounds...I thought Arias won from the remaining 7 rounds I saw. He always cracked but hung in there and kept it up, he had Hurd tired and buzzed at the end too... I'm glad he got the decision.

I enjoyed the fight though, I'd watch a rematch.

For Hurd...he did not look good, regressed for sure and now taking consistent damage. He can;'t continue to fight with his left hand dangling like that

no lets not do that again. we did that with julian williams. oh wow hes super good! derp. then we did it again with rosario. oh hes super good! derp. arias was 0-2-1 in his last 3 before fighting hurd. the reality is hes probably not that good but people look at just their last fight and ignore the rest. small sample sizes are never good. its the same crap that led people to believe mosley was a top guy after beating margarito. he wasnt. he had a good night against a compromised marg and got the win(while clinching nonstop) but he was pretty done and it was obvious in his previous fights.

No, Hurd lost that fight. Arias was beating him to the punch all night and was also landing the cleaner punches too. It was just verdict.

Hurd just doesn't seem like the same fighter anymore. He has no hunger, desire or sense of urgency. That J-Rock fight must have really scarred him.

he had nothing in that fight as well so whatever happened happened before that fight cause one small breeze will blow williams over and hurd wasnt even able to muster up a powerful fart strong enough to blow williams over
