Comments Thread For: Jake Paul On Facing Tyron Woodley: I Know That This Is Going To Be Another Easy Fight

MIAMI BEACH, Florida - Logan Paul fully understands that he'll take quite a steep step up in competition Sunday night. His younger brother, however, doesn't anticipate his upcoming Showtime Pay-Per-View bout being anywhere near as difficult. There is a world of difference, of course, between battling one of the best boxers in this sport's storied history, even in an exhibition, and facing a fading former UFC champion who doesn't have a boxing background.

I guess we can say what we want to, but a youtuber who is quite an athlete, is getting pay-per views like some Olympic gold medalist De La Hoya entering boxing. Quite a feat.

if woodley cant KO him then thats embarrasing for the UFC. obviously they are all rounders in terms of fighting but a fighter whos been practising for years and years really should not be losing to a youtuber

Absolutely wrong. True fighting is much more reflected in MMA than boxing. Boxing is an extremely limited form of fighting, using only your hands. Tyron Woodley is a two timeAll-American wrestler, in a real fight he would kick the crap out of Paul.

So he should be losing to a you tuber who started boxing in his 20s, who had never had even an amateur fight just three years ago?

Boxing is a very specific skill set. Woodley has spent his career training several different combat skills, as you need to cover every aspect of fighting if you want to compete at a high level in MMA. I doubt he ever trained exclusively in boxing for even 3 straight months, let alone the 3 years that Jake Paul has been doing it. There is a reason these Paul guys don't do MMA and it's not the money.

It would definitely be a bad look if Tyron loses. Its not an Askren situation where you're talking about a guy that had no striking at all and failed spectacularly in the UFC. Woodley was one of the biggest punchers ever at his weight, he KO'd strikers like Till and Lawler, he beat Kelvin on the feet, he got the better of Wonderboy over 10 rounds. Yes hes old and past his prime but he should not be losing to this kid.

Showtime that wouldn’t pick up Wilder v Ortiz 2 but they would put this on PPV for their audience , same way that Sky is putting on Mayweather v Logan Paul over here, but wouldn’t go in for Taylor v Ramirez for the undisputed at 140. They aren’t in it for the sport, just pure money grab for them… Not like I blame them or anything.

Truly deep down, I hope Woodley sparks Jake Paul the f••• out! Somebody needs to check his confidence, and hopefully Tyron can do so. I sure as hell won’t be watching, that’s for damn sure!
