    The ring magazine shady rankings

The ring magazine has been going downhill for a while now but it’s just a disgrace how blatant they are with they’re rankings. We all know the Ring has always had a love affair with unproven oversees fighters with guys like unproven Japanese and Eastern Europe fighters cracking the top 10 p4p without having to do much.

Subriel Matias just knocked out the ring #8 140lber in Jukembayev yet they did not move Matias into the top 10 while still keeping Jukembayev at 8. They’ve updated Jukembayevs record with the loss but Somehow decided to just leave him at #8 with no sign of Matias in the top 10.

You can’t get more of a fuxxkin joke than that.

The ring magazine is a joke and a disgrace to the sport.

Probably forgot to update it or they couldnt get the vote in time. Dont read too much into that specific example.

They however put berlanga to the top 10 even before his last fight.
for knocking out low level bums. Lol

      wow lol

I figured that at first but they always update they’re rankings within a few days usually 2-3 days after a fight and they went ahead and updated Jukembayev record but kept him at 8 anyways. Lol

      I Highly doubt they forgot.

Funny cos the TS mentioned only a few days ago with reference to Jukembayev that the Ring ratings were the only ones with any credibility even though he hadn't really done anything worth a spit (although I do think he's a capable fighter).Guess the rankings you prefer are the ones that suit your agenda at the time huh?

FWIW this is most likely a simple issue of waiting for em to update their rankings, which I think is usually done roughly monthly. I'd be very surprised if Browny doesn't debut in the Ring rankings at somewhere between #8 and #6 when they update 'em, although I still say it was absurd to have given Batyr a #8 ranking in the first place.

Bradley beat Pacquiao in a questionable decision and they refused to rank Bradley above Pacquiao.

Pacquiao beat Marquez in a questionable decision and they continued to rank Pacquiao above Marquez.

I couldn't take them seriously after that.

            1) If you click on the rankings, you see on the top right corner when the rankings were last updated.
            In this case: May 22nd.

            2) Carlos Canizales (108 pounds, #5) also lost that weekend against an unknown dude. His opponent hasnt entered the rankings yet and Canizales wasnt dropped. Whats the supposed agenda here?

              Lol that’s ridiculous

His last fight was the first guy he had fought in the boxrec top 100

By those standards, It would be hard to even make a case for him proving he’s in the top 50, considering his level of opposition

What are you talking about? You don't rank above somebody based on 1 win.
Maybe because. Pac has better wins than them? That's like saying Floyd's greater than pac all time as he has a win over pac, are you one of those brigades?

literally every set of ATG rankings, posted on this and other sites, had Floyd ranked ahead of Manny before he beat him and kept him ranked ahead of him after he beat him. So your point here doesn’t make any sense.

Just like the TS you have an agenda.

Stop dreaming kid. While your at it you need to ask yourself why Floyd was considered no1 pfp, when Pac had much better wins than him? Pac had beaten barrrea, morales and jmm. Who had Floyd beat at same point in time?
