It’s a exhibition fight..... GRJ shouldn’t be saying anything about what another boxer does with his 1 fight every two years now that’s the mockery of the sport

When this little midget is retired and he's got no money, he'll be loving th idea of getting paid big bucks for an exhibition. That's the part you people don't get as fans. If you love this sport, you care about the future of the boxers and this stuff puts money in their pockets.

Floyd built a brand that people are willing to pay for. Gary Russell has not done this. I'm not planning on getting Floyd's fight, but you can't cry about him making the money.

For all of the hypocrites -
How much will Floyd Mayweather Jr. earn vs. Logan Paul?

''SportingFree reported Mayweather was guaranteed $10 million in base salary and 50 percent pay-per-view shares — a considerable amount more than Paul is expected to make.''

Yes, every MFer would do they same shlt if they could.

GRJ is right, it is making a mockery out of boxing. I will speak against it with my wallet though, by not buying it. I’m sure GRJ was asked about this and he answered with his opinion.

The issue with some boxing people being against this is that if they were in the same position, they’d likely take the $100 million dollar paycheck as well. Boxers should lay low on these types of interviews, just avoid them. Pacquiao downplayed Mayweather bs McGregor, then 2 years later he was going to box McGregor if McGregor won his fight at UFC.

So I think boxers should take a backseat on these questions. I guess GRJ figures he will never get an opportunity like this in his career and he is pretty much giving his opinion from a fan point of view. Because let’s face it, GRJ is ridiculed by fans with his TBA opponents.

I am not at all saying his opinion is not valid. I agree with what he said. All I am saying is that if the shoe fits, a boxer will wear it. Just say whatever you can to please reporters/hardcore fans. But you know damn well you would take a $100mill payday if it was you. Vs anyone. It could be a literal clown from a circus. You won’t turn down $100mill to box a clown. Idc who you are or how tough you want fans/media to think you are.

Lol that is a lot less than what I thought.

I mean it’s likely Mayweather can make $100mill at the end of it all, with PPV and Gate revenue, and maybe sponsors.

People hate it because it's May making all that money.

Let it be some smiling humble MFer doing it.

As someone pointed out, this is the direct result of the freakshow called boxing over the last decade with all the top fighters ducking each other. People want to see excitement and be entertained, preceded by anticipation. The boxers and promoters have dropped the ball and created void that is being filled with all these oldskool fighters doing exhibitions.
