I’m rooting for Pacquiao but I expect Spence to win. If Pacquiao pulls it off, it’s the best win in decades IMO.

Younger, bigger, stronger, hits harder, more active. There are so many things in Spence’s favour. I actually think Spence might stop him tbh.

My official prediction is Spence on points, I think Pacquiao will do well for 5-6 rounds but once he slows down I think Spence will begin to take over and possibly even dominate. I remember Thurman landing quite a few shots in the second half of the fight after being outclassed for the first 6 rounds. I’m not sure Pacquiao can afford to take those sort of shots from Spence.

Thurman has heavier hands than Spence but he just lacks the consistency and his power tails off as the fight goes on. Thurman landed some vicious shots vs DSG, Porter and Lopez in the first half of the fights but then ended the fight on his bike as those guys were pressing the action...Less so vs Porter where he fought him but Thurman just has this tendency to fall off in fights.

I don't know if you are a betting man, but if you think Spence can stop him, then there will be GREAT odds for that as the fight nears. Spence will likely be around a 2:1 favorite the day of the fight or even slightly below that so good odds just betting him straight up.

I love Manny but let's be real, he is 42 and inactive, him not getting knocked the *** out is a win for me

Spence has way heavier hands IMO. Has dropped and stopped higher calibre fighters and even when you compare common opponents like Bundu and Porter.

I don’t think Thurman is even a big puncher tbh. He only ever stopped C level guys, the moment he stepped up the KO’s completely dried up.

I am a betting man but I’m not sure my heart could bring me to bet against Manny. I did have a big bet on Mayweather to beat him on points back in 2015 though.

Disagree, and both Porter/DSG said Thurman hits harder. The thing with Spence is he breaks his opponents down with accumulation. Dude is a machine from the opening round. Thurman buzzed both Porter/DSG and I can't recall Spence hurting DSG minus maybe the 3rd round where he rocked him a bit. I can be wrong there as I haven't watched the fight in a while.

Spence hasn't stopped the top guys either and as Andre Ward said, that rarely happens that a fighter is going to consistently stop other elite fighters in their weight class...minus the stretch Pacquiao was on at one point. Porter, Mikey and DSG have never been stopped and Spence wasn't able to stop them either. That doesn't really matter to me to be honest since I didn't expect stoppages in those fights and same with Thurman...Though he should maybe be able to get Lopez out of there.

Ha! I get that, hard to bet against one of your favorites and then essentially root for them to lose due to your bet lol.

I think the key will be Errol’s jab vs Manny’s straight left. Both are southpaws and Pacquiao likes to dip to the right to avoid jabs as he fires it. I will break down more footage and chime in some more later but that’s something I will be looking out for.

I predict that both men will try to win. Punches will be thrown. Some will land, some will not. It could go the distance or it could end before. A winner will be declared.

That is my analysis and I am confident in it playing out this way.
