Apparently Jake's team is in the know this is a riskier fight as there is a automatic rematch clause.

In mma maybe, but boxing I don't think so. There are some pretty big mistakes you can pick up on from that video.
From 0:00 - 0:15
those right hands and right uppercuts, you're not getting any power because he's not pivoting his right foot properly. He has no shoes on which removes a lot of power and he's just trying to pivot but only touching his toes. There are two ways to get power with a right hand.
1. Both feet planted flat.
2. Left foot flat, pivot with right foot on ball.
He's trying to do it, but isn't. A lot of times his right arm is bent when he's hitting the pad, you have to straighten that arm out to get the snap. He's losing power on a lot of levels.
From 0:16 - 30
This is where you use pivots. He's tip toeing through the twolips here. You plant the opposite foot of the punch your throwing and pivot the foot of the hand you're throwing. This is basic boxing.
From 0:31 - 1:02
Never end with an uppercut, ever. Refer to Douglas vs Holyfield.
At 0:53 MMA guys think that throwing the left hook with palm facing down is how it's done in the pro's. I been in the game and I'll tell you right now, very few pro's were able to turn that hook over and get real power. Trinidad comes to mind. The real power is palm facing your chest, mma guys don't get it.
In another video I saw --->
There is a part where Woodley is throwing a left hook with his right foot planted and tried to pivot his left foot for max power. Form wise, that's how it's done, but Woodley instead of his left foot being on the ball and pivoting, its just his toes that are touching the ground. He's lost all power and if you look at his right foot, it's not flat planted, he's more on his toes. To pull that off you have to adjust weight distribution to 60/40 weight on the back foot, it looks like most of his weight is on the left foot. Also, you can't move forward and do this, you have to shuffle, THEN plant to pivot once in position.
TL;DR
mma guys can't punch
The fact is that we just don't know what his power is like in a boxing glove and I've seen guys that box that can't knock people out in MMA so that is kind of going against your theory.Comment

I'm not going around the block to get next door like you did but I will just say that his technique may not be perfectly sound but sometimes it doesn't have to be.

KJ Noons was the one that came to mind but there are plenty of others. Clay Collard is another and Holly Holm is a female example.
Go look at Fábio Maldonado's boxing record and compare it to his MMA record. He barely knocked out guys in MMA and had like a 90% KO ratio in boxing.

Can't really count Holly Holm dude, woman can't punch.
Again, Fábio Maldonado was an mma fighter for several years first and if you look at his boxrec he's knocking out 0-14, 0-7, 0-1, 1-8, etc, fighters. As soon as he stepped it up against Oscar Rivas, he went on a 4 fight losing streak. So ok he fought 26 bums, knocked out 25 and lost 4 in a row that weren't bums. You're going to tell me this guy can crack man?
I mean, look at his record: https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/171565Comment
