Comments Thread For: Dervin Colina Replaces Jean Pascal As Badou Jack's Opponent On Mayweather-Paul Card

An unbeaten but unknown, unproven opponent has replaced Jean Pascal on short notice. BoxingScene.com has learned that Venezuela's Dervin Colina will battle Badou Jack on the Floyd Mayweather-Logan Paul undercard Sunday night. Jack (23-3-3, 13 KOs) and Colina (15-0, 13 KOs) are scheduled to square off in a 10-round light heavyweight bout, Showtime Pay-Per-View's co-feature before Mayweather meets Paul in an eight-round cruiserweight exhibition at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Sucks for Jack. He fought 8 tough fights in a row (Dirrell, Groves, Bute, DeGale, Cleverly, Stevenson, Browne, Pascal) only to end up with two bums like Colina and McKernan. I hope he gets at least one more big fight before he retires.

the interest in my opinion is gone from this card. Pascal should be stripped and banned.

Wouldn’t it be something if a star was born from this result....

Hopefully turns out to be a decent fight. I really enjoyed Jack vs Pascal 1 and thought Pascal did deserve the very close decision but fancied Jack to win this time.

I remember what Kovalev said about Pascal in the post-fight interview after beating him for the second time. Perhaps he was right after all.

I'll watch Jack vs Colina with the same interest, though... It smells of huge upset.

Pascal always seems in super great shape. Now we know why.
