I really don't know how Linares gained this big reputation as a big puncher in the first place.

Is this really what he had to do? Do you understand that excessive holding is illegal even with an incompetent referee?

New age boxing fans are no better than the Mayweather/Mosley yappers 11 years ago. You can win 10 rounds and get rocked once....suddenly, you should've never laced up a pair of gloves and pursued a career. That's where we are, again, unfortunately.

Just had him running for dear life for the next 2 rounds. He even ran and hugged Linares

Thank new age boxing fans for it. "B-b-b-but he dropped Lomachenko wit a right hand, doe. He got power!"

People wrote Linares off long ago and he suddenly became this world beater after the Lomachenko fight....which he was stopped in. He had one moment and still lost. The same happened this past Saturday. The math is so weird here.

And the hate at NSB will never die. Lol

Hey Cshel, who the *** is implying he should have never laced up a pair of gloves after getting made to do the stanky leg?

Quit being a sensitive b1tch with what people are saying.

Get's badly hurt at the end of the fight and runs for two solid rounds to survive and proceeds to talk about how his opponent doesn't have power...... that's par for the course.

Yes, I understand that. However, the referee never warned Haney about excessive holding, so why would he bother to stop doing so? I’m not saying the clinching was the best course of action either. I would have preferred for Haney to respond the same way Loma did and to put him away, but as I mentioned earlier, Haney did what he had to do to survive.

Well, if Linares doesn't hit hard and you got buzzed, my guess is that you don't have a good chin. He should have said that Linares was the hardest puncher he's faced, and his chin held up. That's a much better look for him. The punch you don't see is the one that gets you...however, a strong chin protects somewhat against those kinds of shots. Compare Loma's recovery after being put down by Linares to Haney's and you'll see who has the better chin.

Haney won the fight clearly IMO he showed can be aggressive even but he did not show grit. He was caught at the bell ending the 10th and hugged his way to victory.
