That's actually a good idea"I genuinely think I’d beat him up if we ever meet but I’ve no real interest in Teofimo Lopez." - Josh Taylor
I think Josh Taylor should reconsider! Teofimo (and his Father) is already doing his part to hype the fight, unlike Crawford, which is why Taylor vs. Lopez would be a more lucrative event! Taylor should fight Catterall at home, while Teofimo fights Haney. If Teo beats Devin, then we have the "Battle of the Undisputed!" That's much more intriguing than Crawford vs. Taylor!Comment

Umm what? The general consensus for that fight was as follows, close fight but Taylor just edged it in many ppls eyes, easily could have been a draw aswell but "beat him up"?? U really do have some awful takes, it's like u get you're ideas from Stephen a SmithComment

Loma VACATED his WBC belt instead of defending it against WBC mandatory Haney but WBC saved his face by giving him irrelevant Franchise crap.. He did the same as Bowe when he dropped his WBC belt into a trash bin. What (real) champ does that?!
After Garcia moved on and vacated who won the WBC strap first? Loma right? Not Haney, Loma. Did Haney ever beat Loma? Just because the WBC decided to make some money and throw Haney a bone, doesn't mean he's champ. The WBC champion WAS Mikey Garcia, Loma WAS the WBC champ, the games the WBC is playing to make money, franchise, intern, don't mean anything. Loma WAS the WBC champ Lopez did beat Loma, therefore Lopez is not only undisputed, he's THE WBC champion. Haney is what you would call a paper champion, not real, just on paper, maybe you should do some research as well.....Comment

One of the few times I agree with Bob Arum! Only problem is Teofimo! I really don't think he wants to be at 135 anymore! He's been fighting that battle for some time now...
Teofimo Lopez: Right After Loma Fight, We'll Move Up To 140
April 7, 2020
“My last fight with Richard Commey, I made weight easy but that was with nine hard weeks of camp. If we can do something like that, you never know—I might be able to stay a little longer.”
The clash with Ukraine’s Lomachenko (14-1, 10KOs) was all but solidified the moment Lopez stretched out Commey inside of two rounds last December. It still very much remains the plan, no matter how long it takes to get to that point.
The question afterward, is whether or not he can be enticed to stick around. The short-term goal is to conquer Lomachenko, which is the quickest path to lightweight supremacy. After that, the intention is to go from multi-belt lightweight king to multi-divisional ruler.
“The max I would go is anywhere from 154-160,” Lopez claims. “I love to eat. My family they call me “Gordo.”
No matter how long the sport is placed on hold, Teofimo Lopez insists there is at least one fight that will keep him at lightweight. Given his frame and young age, there is concern that the recently crowned lightweight champion will outgrow the division in the near future. Such suspicions are heightened as the entire sport remains on standby in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Teofimo Lopez: My Body Is Ready To Move Up, One Or Two Fights Left At 135
January 14, 2021
““Now, we’re the king of the division. Now, we get to call the shots,” Lopez told BoxingScene.com of his future plans. “I’ve accomplished everything at lightweight. However, do I plan on staying here for another year? No. My body is ready to move up, already...”
“The thing a lot of people don’t know, these guys have just moved up to my weight class,” notes Lopez. “I’ve been 135 for four years already, seven really going back to the amateurs. That’s a looooong time at this weight.
“I just feel like my body is ready to move up. However, one or more two more fights left at 135 is a possibility.”
Teofimo Lopez looks to enjoy another Fighter of the Year-worthy campaign in the year ahead. What he can’t envision happening 12 months from now is a scenario where his body still allows him to serve as the World lightweight champion. The 23-year old Brooklyn native is ready to hit the ground running in 2021, eager to make the most of whatever time he has left in the 135-pound division before eventually moving up in weight. The intention is to leave as the undisputed champion, which effectively could be a one- or two-fight process.
