    Haney looked good

I was very impressed with his performance for the most part. Great jab to the head and body. He dominated many of the rounds against a very solid fighter.

Got caught with a big punch from a guy with good pop. Survived it and won the fight. Obviously needs to go back to the gym and work on his defence.

I don’t have favourite fighters but I was rooting for Linares as the underdog. Was mostly impressed with Devin

A rational take... Am I on the right board?

He went life and death with someone given no chance to win and got kod in 1 round not long ago. If that's considered looking good, then yeah he looked good

I mean that’s not how I saw the fight. I thought he looked fantastic until that shot towards to back end of the fight. He recovered and won the fight. I don’t think of that as going life and death but that’s just me!

To me at least, Haney’s stock fell considerably last night. I don’t see any way at all he’s ever going to beat a good fighter with power and better than average chin. He can’t stay at 135 indefinitely and all of the better welters from Porter to Vergel Ortiz will absolutely destroy him.

I guess what I’m saying is that I don’t see a very bright future for a guy without much pop and not much of a chin.

I don't think he makes it out of 135 unscathed unless he avoids all the other big name guys much less making it to 147 before he gets destroyed.

I thought he looked great for the first 6 rounds then effectively started to fall apart a little.

He literally has Malignaggi type power and whilst skill full he is quite predictable and I don’t think he beats Loma, Lopez or Garcia.

At least he got to defend his WBC intercontinental belt.

                - -Kid Whiteboy Haney graciously swept stumbling to his fat daddy by Linares at the end of the 10th...Classic. Never seen a flush busted so badly as that. Best make Plan B retirement moves because his flapping bubble gum bubble done gone pop goes the weasel.
                .
First one legged Gamboa, and now Linares sending messages in a bottle.

I thought Haney displayed some excellent tactics that mostly involved getting on the inside to hold on for dear life. That's how I saw about 65% of the fight.
