Of course a resume is important. Who you beat and what level they were at when you fought them. Did you fight guys in their prime when they were a threat or guys that were past it?
This isn’t applying for a job, it’s one way to evaluate who was the best of their time.

What matters most is “he’s the boogeyman doe”

I find Calzaghe fans to be the most "anti resume"

          WTH

If guy A is supposed to be so great, HOW CAN WE SUBSTANTIATE THAT CLAIM ?!?!?

          Vote (popularity contests) ?!?!?!

Can't a guy look like an immortal if they only fight guys like Steve Zouski and Amel Barotillo ?

At what point do we, as HONEST FIGHT FANS, stop and take a look ???

Was this guy old and useless when guy B beat him ?!?!?
If so, how much value is that W ?!?!?
I think it’s important but it’s not the end-all, be-all, especially early on. For example, a young prospect doesn’t start out facing top contenders so we have to go by the “eye test” until they get that opportunity.

            100 %

One of my points is the hypocrites who try and poke holes in one guys resume while drooling on someone else's. I say poke holes in both resumes and compare.

It’s especially important to compare and I look at a top fighter’s resume relative to other top fighters.

For example, someone might say Devin Haney doesn’t have a good resume but his best win at 135 (Linares) is just as good or better than Garcia’s (Luke Campbell) or Tank’s (Gamboa).

A resume is important to Wilder fans only when it doesn't apply to Wilder. Otherwise it's 32 straight bum KO's hardest puncher of all time.

This is a great question. All I hear is resume this and resume that and fighters deserve credit for their wins, but fights are secured by promoters. It’s not like the fighter earns his competition so the chosen few get historic fights while others sit on the shelves. I do give credit for wins, but the game is far from fair.

Some people are more fan boy than fight fan. they don't know a person can be both.

I am a proud Fury and Pac hater.

Mostly because they get way too much credit for the shlt they've done...HOWEVER

Even though Fury's rematch with Wilder was dirty AF, Fury said he was going to go in there and end him. He kept his word. Pac is a fun guy to watch but his choice of opponent makes that fun possible. Until just recently (Thurman and now Spence).
