He has zero power. That sucks knowing if you watch a fight of his, it's going all 12. Knockouts are intriguing. I'm going to hope someone knocks him out. I don't want to watch Lakers vs Golden State all lay ups. When someone on here said that Haney was the first fighter to beat Gamboa by decision I was done. He gets knocked around by everyone. All jokes aside, the refs will have to stop a fight for Haney to get a knockout for the rest of his life.
I hope people see how garbage Haney is now

I agreeHaney has good skills, speed, and a long, active jab. He's still a difficult fighter to fight....
With that being said, Linares is fragile if you work him enough (with all due respect). Haney couldn't welt him; his lack of power is a big disadvantage. If you can't discourage Linares at his old age, then good luck trying to get fighters off of you for the rest of your career.
Imo, that's not even the most alarming thing. You could be a HOF fighter with absolute limited punching power. The most concerning thing is his ability to recover. He's in his early 20's, well trained, and needed 2 rounds to recover from being hurt by a single punch. There will be times in his career where he'll get caught early and, if he can't recover, then it'll be a bad night for him. He's in world class physical condition, and he still has terrible recovery
I remember when I witnessed Tim Bradley get absolutely bodybagged by a left hook from Kendall Holt in the first round. He recovered and pushed the action almost right away. If you have limited punching power, then you must have strong recovery ability when fighters try to walk through you because you can't welt them. I'm not sure if Haney is gifted with this, given what we saw today.
I think the inability to recover well is the worst trait you can have in the ring.
people used to talk about Amir Khan’s chin, which is not good obviously but actually if you look at his losses, only one has been a clean KO. The others have been pretty much his inability to recover quickly.
AJ has the same problem.
Then you get fighters like Juan Manuel Marquez or Tyson Fury, you can drop them and they get back up and are composed and recover very quickly.
it’s something you either have or you don’t.Comment

do you think lopez will fight haney next then? i doubt that fight will happen. haney wants it, lopez will come up with an excuse and act like 'haney isnt on my level'. if he isnt, then he should jump at the chance to beat haney for some decent money.
