Hell of a Night of Fights

Gary Antuanne Russell introduced himself to the world and let everyone know he's going to be a problem and is one of the best prospects in the game.

Matias vs Jukembayev was a war from the beginning and both fighters were hurt a couple of times before the terminator took over and drowned Jukembayev.

Haney vs Linares was fun with the youngster being far more aggressive than his usual self… That led to him getting hurt and facing adversity for the first time in his career.

And last but not least, the legend Nonito with a hell of a performance becoming the oldest bantamweight champion of all time.

    Just great stuff all around.

I didn't get to watch any of the DAZN fights minus the main event, how were they if you watched them?

Fantastic stuff tonight though. Got everything we needed to get. I'm still buzzing off the Donaire stoppage.

How do you think Russell does against Matias? Is he ready for that type of opponent or needs more seasoning?

SHO from the Ennis/Lipinets, Nery/Figueora and Donaire/Oubaali has just killed it. Top to bottom all three cards have delivered in big ways.

Then DAZN was the only network putting on good cards early on and just put on another good main event tonight.

I'm not as down on Haney's performance as others and think he's tough against anyone but clearly his lack of pop is going to have top opponents still believing they can land one even if they are down big. He's not discouraging them and when he moves up to 140 and eventually 147? That's a big problem.

Give me Lopez or Lomachenko for him next.

Was a hell of a night indeed and I barely caught any of the Haney Linares fight since I didn't want to miss Donaire live

People hate fights being on apps but being able to watch that fight on my phone while watching the SHO card on my TV was clutch.

Haney vs Linares is one to definitely watch in its entirety. Was a good fight from the beginning to the end.

I don't hate apps, I just hate how I can't get ESPN+ in Canada and DAZN has so many technical issues usually so I cancelled my sub. It's worth it though if you're a hardcore boxing fan and not a promoter fan.

My only gripe with tonight was having Ray Flores as the main announcer on the PBC card. I CANNOT STAND THAT CLOWN. He needs to stick to undercard events and over pronouncing Hispanic fighter's names.

I enjoyed Haney vs Linares. It was a gruelling fight with some drama. I didn’t catch the Donaire fight.

                    Ah I see.

We got the regular SHO crew so we didn't have to hear Flores. Was he a one man show or had someone with him?
