Everything I read, "Obaali didn't know where he was!" Uh, he was the ONLY one who knew where he was, Reiss pointed him to the wrong f'n corner! Same for the announcers. Also, nothing illegal about the punch, both fighters were throwing, but fact is, the punch started and landed after the bell, so Obaali should have been given 5 mins to recover and it shouldn't have been ruled a knockdown. I'm a huge Donaire fan but that's just facts. But hey, it's boxing so what rules?

I wanted Nonito but thought Oubaali was too fresh and quick for him. Donaire has some fast heavy hands tho.

although it was a good ko/tko victory, i still dont see nonito beating ether rigo or inoue tbh....he's is a little more patient but he still gets frustrated when his power punches don't land and follows his opponents in straight lines

Nothing is impossible but based on his history, he’s probably the least likely to be juicing.
Still, though, what a true ambassador to the sport – one of the few remaining classy guys who doesn't have to sell fights using his damn mouth. I'm elated for him, and these young pups need to take inspiration.Last edited by PittyPat; 05-30-2021, 02:09 PM.
