Damn! He was tired man while fighting flat-footed much of the fight. He was the only one who was throwing all the punches while Linares was eating them and conserving energy by fighting in spurts.

I gave Linares just two rounds in that entire fight. Giving him three rounds would be stretching it and being very generous. However, there was no way in the world that you can find me 4 rounds in which he won.

Jorge hardly threw any punches in the fight due to Devin Haney quick jabs and superior handspeed.

he looked god damn awful. you had to wonder why his handlers dont want to put him in with anyone at the top who is in their prime. no power, no chin. as long as they keep feeding him old past prime slop then he should be alright and keep his 0 but maybe linares had too much life in him, even after getting ko'd in 1 round by a journeyman not long ago. maybe they can drag ricky burns out of retirement or something for the next one and then he will look like 'the real haney' again

You are right. He does lack punching power and needs to tighten up his defense but as far as him being elite is concerned; I disagree. This kid is just as fundamentally sound and complete of a fighter of any of the young contenders and champions I've seen and that's including; Ryan Garcia and Teofimo Lopez.

But until he started staying in the pocket he was barely getting touched, had he kept on doing that for 12 the majority of us would be talking about how he put on a Clinique.

He got caught by a heavy handed fighter, went jelly but stayed on his feet and as ugly as it was he tied Lineres up until his head started clearing. I do feel Lineres really could of put it on him after the wobble cuz he was hurting until near enough the end of the 12th.
