This should be a very good showcase fight for Haney. Linares is much more vulnerable than Gamboa.

Haney by UD most likely and it is nothing wrong with that

Look...Haney is NEVER going to be a Knockout Artist I agree with Teddy Atlas and others theory of "Punchers are BORN not MADE". So all this garbage I see from people talking about: "Haney Haven't Grown Into His Man Strength" that is a NONSENSE! Nothing wrong with being a pure Boxer, sure he won't get as much of a buzz or as much attention of Teofimo, Tank or Ryan BUT you match him up against those type of fighters he could very well box circles around them and make them all look ordinary with his style which is something Mayweather made a Living doing.

So trying to put pressure on Haney and then Haney felling the pressure and the NEED to Score KO's could backfire on him and get him clipped trying to load up on punches and trying to score big knockouts like the other guys. Fight YOUR Fight! What I would like to see Haney do is improve on working from inside the pocket, his Inside Game or Lack thereof is probably his biggest flaw...could be the real reason why his team seems to drag their feet a bit when it comes to him fighting Javier Fortuna because Fortuna is going to apply relentless pressure, throw a lot of punches and work on the inside. So that is a Flaw he might want to work on ASAP!

In other words, I'm going to run all night and do my best to win a boring decision.

It's not often you see a boxer so weak in his first weight class. Usually KO% drop happens as a fighter moves up. This guy is weak as fk in his debut weight class.

I can't see any 135-147 fighter ever respecting Haney in the ring. Outside of the ring, yes, they will be gentlemen towards him because they are professional. Just saying in the ring, I highly doubt any fighter will be nervous of his power at all. He will get no respect in the ring. He will need to always be on the run in there and win on points. As a fan, you hope a boxer shows power at least at the weight he starts, Like Pacquiao and Mayweather and so many other boxing stars. This guy just has nothing. If he can't get Linares out of there before 12, man this guy will be a laughing stock of 135-147 to the other top 5 guys (let's face it he will move up eventually).

The only risk that fighters will see in Haney is that their stock might drop for being part of a marathon vs Haney and stinking up boxing.

What are the odds in this fight? Is this a Haney showcase fight?
