Margarito beat Clottey more convincingly than Cotto did with an injured ankle going into the fight. The injured hand excuse that Clottey used could also coincide with the knee injury excuse that some people use for Clottey when Cotto (intentionally or unintentionally) slammed him to the canvass. Why can't people get off of Clottey's jock? He is decent, but he is not that good. And getting outlanded in power punches when the overall punch stats are the same is a controversial victory no matter what you say about the fight that took place between Cotto and Mosley.

            Lesson learned :
you don't earn people's respect and admiration by trying to talking **** over another boxer or pursuing them to believe that your better than all the others. Respect is earned!!!! if you want fans on your side give them the fight they want and do it inside the ring, maybe then the general public would start to appreciate your worth instead.

And please stop with this logic of "he was damaged goods after i beat him"
We all know that all great fighters gets better after a lost. e.g. you don't say ALi was damaged goods after he lost to Frazier, don't we.that's ******!!!

Whenever I read Mayweather's quotes or watch Mayweather's interviews, he annoys me. One hell of a boxer, but talks a lot of smack. This is the first article where Mayweather is speaking nothing but the truth.

Fights aren't scored on punch stats. They're scored on individual rounds won. If you win a close round and then lose a totally one-sided round, it's scored as one round each (assuming no knock-downs). But the punch stats would favour the winner of the one-sided round. That's not how scoring works.

Also, punch stats don't take into account how clean the punches are, or who shows better ring generalship, or who shows the most effective aggression, or who shows the most effective defence, which are the criteria used in scoring. The number of punches landed is not a criteria used in scoring.

And Cotto has a powerful jab - he knocked Clottey down with it. It's not just a feeler, he doesn't paw with it.

Not only was it a UD but the vast majority of boxing analysts scored it to Cotto. It was not even slightly controversial, although I admit it was close.
