Not a duck, but poor management by his team, who obviously didn't have the knowhow to rightly assess the situation Joshua was in. They wanted to make a play for (even) more money rather than seizing the opportunity (huge mistake). I'm sure Ortiz himself would have taken that fight, if he didn't have knucklehead middlemen (managers? lol) screwing up. Ortiz hasn't gotten many fights, so he hasn't been able to afford a good enough team. I think Ortiz minus his "businessmen" would have fought AJ for even less than was offered.
But no excuses ... his "team" royally screwed that up, and he has paid for it.
