Manny was ready to fight Floyd after Hatton but the day before the Hatton fight Floyd decided to fight Marquez, eliminating that option. All the "I'll pay Marquez to step aside so I can fight Pac" talk was hype and publicity for Mayweather to promote himself and the fight with Marquez.
