Bernard sure has.

RJJ doesnt fight smaller guys...man B Hop is great...and all that stuff...but he has made a name off of beating smaller dudes....

fun fact: if you look at bernard hopkin before and after fighting roy jones you'll notice that hopkins sustained the huge gap in his front teeth during the roy jones fight in 93

Why wont hopkins be able to counter a 40 year old roy jones? Why wont he be able to land his right hand against a 40 year old roy jones if was able to land his right on a 1993 version of roy jones? Riddle me that batman.

Where as Bernard is beating RANKED fighters (Kelly Pavlik) WHO IS, the same size as Bernard.. UNDEFEATED... and 18 years younger.

And Roys beating Omar Sheika

would'nt really call those successful counters, there was only one round where bhop was actually hitting roy joens with those counters, but jones just did'nt seem bothered getting tagged by hopkins
any oher times in the fight hopkins counters got countered

B Hop doesnt have the necessary power or speed to nullify RJJ's power and speed....

I see B hop having more problems with Roy than I see Roy having problems with B Hop

Putting aside the partisan nature of fans of either fighter,(I am a Jones fan), I actually think this is a great fight. They are over a decade apart since their last fight,yet the interest has never gone away. I think both fighters feel it too.

The gap between the(potential) fight and the last maybe longer than,say, Leonard v Hearns or Ali v Frazier, but the fans interest and the fighters genuine disregard for the other means we could have a classic on our hands. It could be the,'Thrilla in Manila of our generation'!!!

The form might go with Hopkins given his performance against Pavlik, but the guy is nearly 45. Jones has been more active, but hasnt really looked impressive given what we got used to in his nadir, but if these two get each other in the ring, you can throw all that out of the window. They will go for it, and both still have enough left to turn the clock back just one more time.

I think Roy will do it, and I for one, am one fan that really wants to see this fight.
