Yes, boxing is dying. No it does not mean noone watches boxing anymore and it definitely does not mean boxing will cease to exist as a sport.

The statement means that boxing is rotting from the inside out. MMA gets more and more popular in the US because its simple to follow.

In boxing theres different rules in every state, and you need a flowchart to follow the champions of each division. How many years has it been since a "boxing czar" was proposed and we have yet to have 1 regulate the sport and skim off the blood sucking leeches in it?? Until boxing reforms itself it will never come back to its "golden age"
well, i can't lie...that is true. Sometimes i get confused as hell when watching fights haha. When i first started watching boxing i saw maybe 2-3 fights with the 3 knockdown rule, but then i saw JMM vs. PAcquiao...and i was like "wait...shouldn't the fight be oveR?" haha. But yeah, ya know i can deal with all the weightclasses, but what gets me confused is how many belts there are...

That's what I'm saying. Again, I'm a diehard boxing fan. Have been for many years. But boxing's inability to regulate and govern itself is why the sport is declining in popularity. And the truth is things are moving in the wrong direction. Bodies are creating MORE belts. Weight classes are becoming obsolete. Blah, blah, blah. Everyone knows the problems with the sport at this point.. No one does anything about it.

not trying to spark a MMA vs. boxing debate here but i disagree, i think it's a matter or preference.
