Post Calzaghe / Pre Roy Jones vs Lacy:

    - "RJJ should retire"
    - "RJJ finished"

Post Roy Jones vs Jeff Lacy

    - "RJJ would beat Hopkins"

I'm sorry but some people have no boxing logic.

Hopkins has in almost all his fights been the underdog ...

... ODD, Trinidad, Tarver and most recently Pavlik

everyone has this assumption that all he does is clinch

i don't understand how someone can clinch there way to be considered a top ten PFP fighters

Hopkins would own RJJ if they fought again ... end of debate.

the only fight there was an abundance of clinching was the calzaghe fight, no dispute about.....

but you're right on the money with all your statements...

its the roy jones fans that still want to believe in the "legend" of roy jones, that dare say he can beat hopkins, after beating up on JEFF LACY...

and i wouldn't even rate jeff lacy a "C" level fighter at this point....he's probably closer to "D" level than he is "C" level......but those are the guys roy can beat at this point in his career....

I like how people forget that going into the Roy fight, Lacy's last fight against Otis Griffin was a controversial decision. OTIS GRIFFIN.

          I agree somewhat.

But Roy told Bernard ''winner gets all'' and Bernard hang up the phone literally.

Bernard doesn't like to give his opponents chances. He takes soul. It's either he dominates in proceedings or moves on.

RJJ at this stage of boxing is not on the same level as BHOP. Career wise yes and possibly even better. However, at this current stage of boxing the executioner makes the rules.

yeah... but bhop is only offering to rjj what rjj offered to bhop all those years ago. what goes around comes around.

in the interview w/ merchant after the tito fight, rjj walked away from bhop too.

                Agreed.

But still when someone gives you ''winner takes all'' and you'd be favored t owin it you should take it unless you got someything else.

I think B-Hop has Adamek so that may be the reason.

                  Quoted for truth.

Roy fans just can't live with it.

I didn't see anybody saying Roy was "scared" of Bernard for walking away when Bernard wouldn't allow Roy to take the 60% that was rightfully his at the time.

But 8 years later certain Roy fans are swearing Hopkins is afraid of Jones for doing the exact same thing.

Er... Lacy was "D Level" at his best imo.

RJJ's only chance against the best is Hopkins, who obviously does not want to give him a chance for denying him about 7 or 8 years ago.

RJJ should have retired about 5 years ago, after being KO'd twice.

The only "big bouts" he is going to have is against Frauds, and conidering Joe is retired.

Well you know how this is going
