He'll likely make one more run for a title before he's done.

I think a fight against one of the usual journeymen like Zunbrum, Batchelder, Hawkins, etc., etc would be better...
But you have to remember that Samuel made his "Nigerian Nightmare" reputation from has-beens and "never was's" . It took Wladimir Klitschko to show us all exactly what Peter was-and is.

It should also have shown those who like to believe that Klitschko has a "china chin", (amongst whom happen to be many boxing writers) that Klitschko either has a very good chin, or that Samuel doesn't have that "killer" punch.

Sam Peters is done, most HW are as long as the Klitchs are around.

Moving him along slowly? This is one of the worst mismatches, I've seen made in a while. I can understand that they put this one on in Mexico, because I cannot imagine a US commission to sanction this.

As has been pointed out in other posts, Bellamy is 44, he has lost his last 8, 5 by KO. Only twice in his career has he beaten someone with a positive record at the time: Paul Marinaccio 7 years ago, and Earl Ladson who was 4-3 at the time. Ladson (who is now 14-19-1) later reversed that loss - twice.

Bellamy has been knocked out by a guy who was 1-7 at the time. Last time out Bellamy who stopped by Victor Bisbal, a guy who was knocked out by journeyman Domonic Jenkins.

Marcus McGee is a far better fighter than Bellamy, and that was a very easy comeback fight.

            Something like this shouldn't be sanctioned, it's a disgrace - a big puncher against a 44 year old who's lost 8 in a row, 5 by KO.

Too bad they couldn't find a better clubfighter for Peter to face tonight.
