If i were him i would have done the same think and gone for the Wilder fight as you know he already rocked Wilder in the first fight and he must have thought he would be the world champ after beating Wilder in the rematch. Lot of fans here on this forum wrote off Wilder and predicted Ortiz to win. So can't blame him.

Most underserving guy in the sport. Does nothing to earn a shot his whole career. Nobody gives a **** if you were beating Wilder, so was Szpilka.

He was the mandatory for Joshua before the first Wilder fight and would have made a lot more than he did fighting Wilder. Very bad decision, he lost millions. He got 500k for the first fight. Would have likely made 8 mil for Joshua.

What makes you say that he is "most undeserving guy in the sport"? Apart from the top3 can you name any contenders in the top 4-10 that called him out?

Ortiz calls out fighters and then turns down offers. He called out Whyte got an offer and turned it down, then fought Kaufmann which i guarantee didn't pay as much. Always crying about being ducked but does nothing to move himself up the rankings. It'd only take him a couple of fights against decent opposition to move up around mandatory, but he doesn't. Wants everything handed to him.

Oh hang on, Whyte turned him down for the WBC eliminator, no? Also, Ortiz had been in the top 4 for long enough so he was offered a challenge by Wilder not twice but three times. But where are the others in the top 10, answer that first? Why hate the guy man, he also sweats for his bread and butter just like others do.

The first Wilder offer is mention in the following link:

OK i'll answer it first. There's plenty of guys in the top 10 all wanting shots. You don't see them begging half as much as Ortiz, because they know they have to earn it. Whyte sent him an offer and they turned it down, there's a video on youtube with his trainer saying it wasn't enough money. Does Ortiz try to make fights with top 10 opposition? All i see him do is call out the big money earners.

So basically, 4 guys and one already fought him. Otherwise no one else wants that smoke. So in this situation he can only fight whats been offered to him. Thank you.

How do you now noone else wants it? Why do does it fall on the other fighters to make offers? He has no problem doing it for the no hopers he chooses. Maybe it's his management/promoter, if he stayed with Hearn i'm sure he would have had more fights against decent opposition by now. You can't just do nothing and beg for a title shot.
