Pac is one of TBE but being honest he beat a faded former shell of a champion in Thurman. It was a great win and nobody can take it away from him but Thurman has been injury prone and damaged goods for years now. His last solid performance was against Danny Garcia if I'm correct and that seems like a lifetime ago. Pac wont beat Spence the same way IMO.

Here’s the thing, pac fans don’t know anything about boxing. All they know is that they love him and think he part the sea. Pac has looked good recently because he’s fought guys who are conservative with their offense like Broner and Thurman. Those guys only fight in spurts. That Horn fight wasn’t a fluke. Even if you think pac won, he was gassed and looked horrible at the end of that fight and the reason why was because horn was bigger and physically stronger than him. He kept putting the pressure and coming forward. At his age, pac no longer has the ability to withstand that the way he could vs margarito, who also despite the beat down made a prime pac very uncomfortable. Now picture Spence who is bigger and stronger than pac, who will come forward with much more skill and punching power than any of those guys that pac has faced. Pac is getting hurt.

Seems like the two best welters are afraid to face each other--Spence & Crawford. So they both pick Pacquiao because they think he will be easy. The Spence-Crawford fight should have been made by now but we hear so many excuses. Fighters like Pacquiao & Canelo face all comers like past fighters Ali, Duran, Leonard, Hearns, Hopkins, Trinidad, Robinson, Chavez & many more. Sad.GucciGod likes this.

I gotta disagree with the assessment of Thurman and the significance of pacquiao’s win. Despite the inactivity and injuries, he’s still a bad man, and likely to come back to the top of the division. Sure, maybe physically he’s not the same, but what makes him great are his ring iq, timing and punching power. He’s a very smart fighter, and a couple of fights back had Danny Garcia buzzed and in the worst trouble he has ever been. Something Spence didn’t come close to doing.

Can Manny Pacquiao defeat Errol Spence Jr.? What does this fight mean for Terence Crawford?
May 21, 2021
What about Crawford? What should be next for him?
How about the winner? Crawford should continue to pursue someone like Shawn Porter, a former champion who will increase his marketability and bargaining power if and when the world ever gets the Crawford-Spence showdown that has been discussed for years.
Perhaps a career strategy could be easier to implement if he leaves Top Rank for Premier Boxing Champions when his deal with Top Rank expires this year. Then again, he could still run into some of the same issues with getting higher-profile fighters into the ring to face him, which has hampered his reign as a welterweight champion.
