The only fighter I have seen improve with Robert is Maidana. He did a great job with Maidana but thats it. Ramirez should have stayed with Roach.

Garcia was giving the right advise Ramirez just couldn’t employ it.
Yeah see what you mean. It is a two way street. I wish Ramirez would have stepped to left a little more and thrown some left hook body shots or right upper cuts. He probably would have broken Taylor down.

Garcia might be one of the most overrated in the game, along with Virgil Hunter.

Hunter might have done a great job with Ward from the start, but I’ve never seen him really improve anyone else. It’s because he speaks with calmness and wisdom that people think he’s some great trainer, I don’t think so.

Naw, Robert isn't overrated. Plus with Big G that camp has a lot of experienced eyes.

Those are two of the top trainers in the game. If he can't get better under their tutelage then maybe the trainer isn't the problem.
Robert is just too basic. He teaches you to out your hands up and jab and that’s about it. He’s not and never has been a great trainer. Roach looked ***ed up the last time I saw him, but when Ramirez was with him he was a better fighter Roach is actually a great. Robert just turns everyone static and basic, that’s why he doesn’t have any great fighter’s, they all fall short.

Completely agree. Ramirez is just pretty basic stylistically. Good fighter but there aren’t exactly many dimensions to his game. I’m not sure what a new trainer could really add.
