Would Ramirez benefit from a change in trainer?

I saw someone comment on Instagram how Ramirez could benefit from changing trainers. I had never thought about it, but the more I think about it the more I feel like that could be the case. I’m starting to think that RG isn’t as great as a trainer as he is made out to be, and I feel like fighters don’t really grow under him. I think someone like Joel Diaz would be a great fit for Ramirez, or of course Reynoso. Is there any other trainer out there y’all think would be a good fit for Ramirez? Or is Garcia the right trainer for him? Thoughts?

    Not really

Garcia is one of the top trainers today Ramirez is what he is bro very good better not Great. Keep in mind Taylor was supposed to crush Ramirez he was the favorite but Ramirez made it very close that’s in part to Robert.

trainers can improve guys but they aren’t magicians look at Roach he looks good everytime Manny fights but looks like crap with any other fighter he trains.

great great fighters usually make the trainer not the other way around.

        I don’t think so.

Roberto was telling him don’t get to eager let him make mistakes right before Ramirez got eager and jumped in and countered in the first KD.

Again Ramirez is what he is don’t matter what trainer if anything Robert is made for him and his style.

Sorry, RG is trash. He's gonna ruin Virgil's career like he did for Ramirez.

If ramirez would have come in with Canelo's plan. Throwing more body shots and setting up more uppercuts he would have busted Taylor up. RG just had Ramirez running into Taylor's fist the whole fkn night. Same plan he has for all his fighters...

That’s what Ramirez is and ain’t not one making him become some calculated defensive wizard it’s not I him. Trainers work with what they have that’s all they can do. Regis trainer can’t change what he is hes a boxer puncher he’ll never be a whirlwind non stop agressor which is what would have benefited him in the Taylor fight.

Garcia was giving the right advise Ramirez just couldn’t employ it.

He was doing good up until the second kd. It hurt him to where i dont think he would have been able to execute the plan.

Ramirez was with Freddie Roach before Robert Garcia.

Those are two of the top trainers in the game. If he can't get better under their tutelage then maybe the trainer isn't the problem.

Ben Davison getting Taylor to cruise the late rounds after being on the wrong side of the judges with Fury was infinitely worse than anything Ramirez’s corner did.

Garcia is the best suited trainer for pressure fighters with durability and power.
But he doesnt have a lot of range. Most of his fighters fight similarly and have the same weaknesses.
