Germany has overtaken Britain for sure. Bigger fights, better champs and higher purses.

Why do you have the tale of the tape for Cotto-Urkal in your signature?

Germany. There are a lot of good Russians, Hungarians, Ukrainians etc. fighting there, whereas all the UK has is the Brits.

One thing I dislike about the British boxing scene is the opportunities for foreigners. For example about a year ago there was a UK boxer (Derry Mathews)they had built up to 20-0. They put him in against a Mongolian guy who has fought in the UK for years. The Mongolian guy turns out to be tough as hell, and he destroys the UK boxer.

In the time since, the British guy got several chances, but the Mongolian guy couldn't get a fight for a year, even though he has been unbeaten for 5 years and has defeated 4 undefeated prospects in that time. If he was from the UK, he'd be fighting stiffs until Frank Warren could get him a WBO title shot. Instead he is basically journeyman.
