Y'all go interview a mother ****er, damn. Hard for an industry to be taken seriously when all its news are opinion pieces even though there's a ton of guys who never get any media coverage.
What I really need is someone who took a creative writing class's opinion and Paul Bros interviews...

Its literally amazing how many people think this 6'9" fledgling fat ugly drug using bum who's never defended the title against a legit opponent or honored a rematch up to this point is somehow the best HW in the world....LOL....its literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard in boxing....but then again I'll never accuse a fury fan of being able to think themselves out of a wet paper bag. These people are disgustingly dense.
It’s literally amazing how YOU and a few others think beating an undefeated and a legit Wilder, twice (knocking him out in the 2nd) is not an achievement in its own right.
In fact Fury did rematch Wilder, unless the 2nd fight didn’t happen? Before those two fights, you thought Wilder was the best HW in the world, LOL
It’s literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard in boxing....but then again I'll never accuse a Wilder fan of being able to think themselves out of a wet paper bag. You people are disgustingly dense. When Fury KO’s Wilder in the 3rd fight, we’ll be here waiting for your excuse or justification, ok?

Interesting article.
I thought for sure that team Wilder was gunning for a 20 mil step aside because it makes financial sense. That said, 20 million is a big number and I couldn't see how they would get everyone on the same page, especially if it required financial participation from AJ.
Maybe Fury/Wilder III will happen, maybe it won't. I'm not sure if there is enough interest to pay for it. Fury won't have the element of surprise but it's not PPV.Comment

The premise of this article seems to lament the business of boxing as it pertains to the British boxing fan, the real boxing fan in Britain it is. The author even calls out the “casuals” (ie the sweet carolines.) not without cause in my eyes, you really don’t have many championship class fighters in Britain these days but the 3 you do have are literally on top of their divisions in Taylor, Fury, and Joshua. Taylor seems to get zero recognition in the U.K. outside of Scotland, Joshua hasn’t had a meaningful fight since Ruiz and that wasn’t even in the U.K. for U.K. fans, and that really only leaves Fury in big fights lately with Wilder. U.K. fans rightfully wanted Fury and Joshua to fight however U.K. fans were severely teased and led astray by Eddie Hearn falling prey to the antics of Fury and Arum when Wilder and the arbitration processes tore the proposed fury back Joshua fight asunder. That fight should have NEVER been pursued. The monumental failure to make that fight was in the plain reality that it should have never been actively pursued. And now you have a MASSIVE summer schedule of fights announced by the PBC. While Hearn sounded off day in and day out about fury v Joshua, Al Haymon quietly set up Spence v Pacquiao, Barrios v Tank, knew Wilder v Fury III would be made, and is set to announce Canelo v Plant, on top of all the regular Showtime and soon to be announced FOX cards that are on their way. We are sure to get some cracking fights for co main events and undercards for those PPV cards as well. There is something to be said about operating in the dark and keeping quiet when making fights that Edward Hearn simply can’t seem to fathom. No one saw the Spence manny fight coming they just dropped that fight on us out of nowhere. That’s how you do it, that way when it doesn’t happen the fans are not jaded. What big fights does Eddie Hearn have on the horizon now? In fact, other than Joshua, who can be make a big card around in the U.K. for actual U.K. fans? Hearn has put all his eggs in two baskets...Canelo and Joshua, and Canelo is clearly a fighter for the American market. You don’t have Mexicans in Salford. In the absence of a big fight that was fury v Joshua, where does young Edward now go for a big fight or even big fights for U.K. fans? He recently preached “world domination” seeking contracts with fighters from various nations around the world, but what does that really do for his standing with the sweet carolines?
Spence vs Pacquiao was a masterstroke of deal making, you are totally correct. Wham! Out of nowhere. Massive fight and will serve to make Spence a much bigger name to sports fans in general, even if there is somehow an upset and he loses (which I doubt will happen). If Spence wins, PBC has a giant star and has totally one-upped Crawford, putting them in a much stronger position for negotiating that fight.
Canelo vs Plant, if it happens, is not really any bigger than Canelo vs BJS, which you seem to have overlooked, in terms of saying there is a dearth of British fighters or fights that would interest British audiences (appreciate it was not scheduled for the British fan). But in general I think a dearth of world-level British talent is the status quo -- when I was growing up there were only a small handful at any one time. Certainly to have two top heavyweights is unprecedented. I suppose you could argue Bruno overlapped with Lennox Lewis, but Frank was never all that.
In terms of what the British fan is getting, a Joshua vs Usyk fight at Wembley is actually better in my opinion than Joshua vs Fury in Saudi Arabia. It's a bit like the recent fan revolt against the proposed European Super League in football. That was designed to take the shiny stars of English football and sell it to the global masses for top dollar, while saying FU to the domestic fan. That is a little like putting Joshua vs Fury on in the Middle East. You are prioritising money over the fans who built these fighters up. Now, in boxing we expect no less really. But in football this was considered totally unacceptable.Comment

Absolutely maddening that the Taylor/Ramirez fight was not streamed by a major network in the UK, but the Mayweather clown show with Paul is getting attention.Comment
