BBC should pick it up then.

Make the promoters put on good cards.

BBC has the power to force the promoters to do that, but they don't.

The BBC used to have great boxing coverage back in the 80's they would show a fight every Saturday evening on grandstand including top American fights and they showed the Amateurs as well, Guys like Bruno became massive stars but i think they got scared off by Audley Harrison. Its a shame because they also had Haye, Froch and Witter at that time if they had kept them they would have had some very good fights.

Sorry to sound ******, but what is the difference between BBC and ITV? Isn't BBC run by the government, and you have to pay taxes for the station, but ITV is free?

I'm asking because I always see ITV having fights, but never the BBC...

Less than 0.1% of the population watched it mate...

That said, it's because the BBC/ITV won't show it and Sky start fights at 10pm.

Put Froch on BBC3 @ 7pm and he would get a million viewers easily.

Even Witter fans admit the man is like watching paint dry, he certainly wouldn't have pulled viewers in.

Nathan Cleverly has become my favorite active British fighter.

I believe he can become a big star in the UK and perhaps win a world title. He seems to have plenty of talent and athleticism.

Kell Brook is more likely to make it to the world level than Cleverly imho.

Boxing generates interest in Britain, it's so ****ing clear to see, but NO ONE (except dear old Setenta God rest their soul) is willing to risk investing time nor money in it

Men like boxing and will watch boxing full stop
