Did this dude forget that the judges gave him a gift when he fought Regis Prograis in England? The guy had his entire right eye swollen shut and it was the size of a g****fruit

If they want a shot at "The Man" at 140 then make them all come to you in Scotland! If they want you to comeback here to the States then make them completely OVERPAY you for it. I think that would be the smart and fair play here for Taylor now after making history. You're the Ultimate A Side at 140 because you have ALL THE BELTS

you could do that for sure. But then he would spend the rest of his career fighting mandatories. Taylor is in a great position.

He could make teofimo move up to 140

He could fight tank at 140 on ppv

He could fight mikey at 140 on dazn. But bob won't work with mikey. So scratch that.

He could move up to 147 and fight bud.

All better options than going to back to Scotland for the jack catterall's of the world

I don't think it is a disgrace at all, just that Taylor lost majority of the late rounds but by then the fight was essentially over. Heading to the last four rounds, I had it 77-73 Taylor so Ramirez had to sweep those rounds just to get to a draw, and some likely had it 78-72 so it was impossible for Ramirez to get a win unless he got a KO. So that's why it seemed like a wider Taylor win since the fight was really never in doubt after the second KD.

He needs to work on his late fight stamina though. Against Prograis he didn't close well either and lost the last two rounds and did the same this fight. Against the top WWs that will have to change.
Sensible words. My thinking is that most rounds were close barring the knockdown rounds, so that all things being equal, it should have been quite a gap on the scorecards. I also thought Taylor got the more telling shots even outside the 10-8 rounds, but your take is valid.

Not sure I agree with a gift -- this comes down to the binary nature of the must system of scoring that ill fits close fights. It was a great scrap by both fighters. Yes, Taylor's eye was swollen shut by the end, but ridiculous to think that should be any kind of deciding factor in terms of how you score rounds.

              Good Point

Like I posted though, if they want him to comeback then it is going to cost a lot of money, he has every right to demand big money if they want him to come and defend his Belts in the U.S.

On this site after every fight, no one ever thinks a fight is close. Everyone always feels that a fight is 9-3, 10-2 and all close fights are robberies. wtf..

The writer analyses the judges scoring round by round - which is how it should be. Then right at the end he mentions the compubox TOTAL figures. Why did he do that - frickin moron.

If you look at the compubox figures round by round. Doesn't matter if youlook at overall punches, jabs, or power punches - Tatyor outscored Ramirez by a minimum of 7 rounds to 5 - jabs from recall and with power punches he outscored Ramirez 8-4.

if the fight was ruled a draw everyone on this site would be SCREAMING robbery. Ramirez won 4 rounds MAX.
