Bayless a bit guilty of second KD?

Just trying to be objective here. If the ref breaks the clinch like he did a second before the punch, shouldn't the fighters not punch while they are separating? I kind of understand him giving Ramirez more time to recover.

    Yes.

He should have been cosistent with how he made them break the clinch.

All around terrible performance by Bayless yesterday.

Definitely that’s what Robert was complaing about because you can clearly see Bayless grab Taylor to break then he throws that uppercut which obviously Ramirez thought it was a break but hey that’s boxing sucks but that’s how it goes sometimes.

What he actually doing is telling them work out from the inside, not break. He was slapping their arms to tell them to stop locking up with Taylor’s left/Jose’s right arm and fight their way out. Plenty of refs do it, or they will tell you to fight your way out.

If you watch the fight, it wasn’t the first time he did it.

Ramirez made a big mistake and assumed there would be a break, you can’t do that.

Did the ref say break? If not then there's nothing to see here.

Baylees could've handled it better. But at the same time, if the ref doesn't call 'break' then you keep fighting, boxers are trained that from an early stage

Ramirez made a big mistake taking his eyes off of Taylor, not bayless's fault.

This is what happens when referees interfere too much. Fighters will rely heavily on it. Of course, Ramirez was waiting for it and it's not there.

Protect yourself at all times. Unless the ref moves in to break its a live fight. He got caught slipping. Taylor did the right thing.

                    Exactly.

Ramirez should protect himself at all times regardless. But Bayless was for sure "a bit guilty."
