Mmmm. I'd have to go back and rewatch it which I don't usually do till a little time has passed.. Don't like getting in the habit of second guessing my immediate impression, run the risk of watching it trying to rationalise what you already decided. Eh... but OK let's see now.

OK round 2 the both had a few moments and the exchanges were split fiarly evenly, Taylor doing better early in the round - first minute almost all Taylor - 2ns Minute JCR starts trying to pressure but Taylor manges to get out of the corners without taking anything much clean. Ramirez perhaps finishing a little stronger... coupla solid whipping bodyshots from both guys, it was what was going on in between the exchanges that probably swung it for Taylor... flicking jab, keeping Ramirez off balance with his feints and catching him on the break. Actually looks fairly clear Taylor in rewatching although a coupla nice bodyshots from Jose were amongst the most memorable single shots.

Round 4: First 30 secs nothing of significance, both holding center with JT probing, second 30 seconds a few lefts whipped in from Taylor, one to the body lookks kinda low, coupla not particularly clean upstairs, JCR also digs one to the body close in. thoird 30 secs looks like Ramirez busier, misses a fair bit but also lands a coupla decent shots, 4 th 30 secs Taylor throws out of the clinch, JCR turns away gets caught another coupla times... ain't pretty and it ain't sportsmanlike but scoring shots from JT. JCR discomforted. 5th 30 JCR pours it on, JT baffles and blocks most but takes a coupla decent digs to the body and one or two upstars, looks to have swung it until Taylor starts firing back at the end of the round catches him clean with about 3unanswered upstars.

On review I could go either way with the 4th... perhaps Taylor closing strong swung it for me live or possibly the impression left by Jose Carlos turning away after getting clipped out of the clinch.

Way folk are talking about the final 4 it's like they should be given to JCR because JT wasn't pushing the action, but in fact he was still doing much of the cleaner work in there. More just that he didn't have any urgency Personally I did score 9, 11 and 12 to JCR but more on impressions than because he was actually particualrly more effective. Still close rounds, but I like dudes that push the action.

Just watched 8 and that's pretty clear JT as well, JCR does nothing for the first 2 minutes, does start to get his wits together a bit in the final minute, but even there he doesn't do enough.. final minute kinda even.
