Ramirez needs to learn some “veteran” tactics. Taylor using forearms to control the head, hitting off a break like the great ray Robinson, and leaning above to sap the legs, the kid just finds any way to separate himself. Just seemed like Taylor wanted it more, the disparity in focus was apparent and so was the skill level.

On a side note, Bayless needs to retire, he’s either really terrible or he’s just a corrupt house ref.

Ramirez was hurt not out on his feet ref did give him some extra sec to recover but dont think taylor would've knock him out still ramirez won 5 rounds tops, taylor movements and left hand countershots gave him the W, don't know if stepping up to 147 would be good for him we shall see hes solid champ

One can say what they will but Josh Taylor is one Hell of a fighter. I picked Ramirez to win based off the Regis Prograis performance which I thought he lost; However it was close and due to his inactivity.

I just thought that Ramirez would be able to lure him into fighting his type of fight by trading and exchanging punches with him on the inside but he didn't do that at all. Instead, he boxed beautifully. He used his stick, moved and effectively tied Ramirez up anytime he attempted to mount an offensive on the inside.

This was a much more improved performance by Taylor than the Prograis fight. In my opinion he dominated. Perhaps he could have stopped Ramirez after dropping him twice but I guess he didn't want to risk it all by pressing all that much. In addition, this fight was not as close as the scorecards had indicated.

He got a 20 sec count on the second knockdown, and it took him 2 rounds to recover, so... maybe he was hurt just a little. lol

I agree. By the eight round Jose Ramirez was clearly done. Josh could have easily won this fight going away by a score of at least 117-109 or at the very least a stoppage but chose to stick to the game plan instead by staying out of the exchanges and trading punches with Ramirez. He wanted to avoid being reckless by taking on any unnecessary risks.

Just like y’all want Canelo to fight Beterviev and Bivol? Either way, 147 is the division next over. It’s not like I’m implying Taylor should jump 2-3 weight classes...only true greats like Pac and Canelo can do that...Taylor is just a decent champ at best.

Yeah such a domination that he lost the first 4 rounds, couldn’t finish a hurt man, and ran the last 4 rounds lmao. Your idea of domination sure is flawed lol.
