If Canelo moved to heavyweight and lost to Deontay Wilder, would it be hard to objectively place Alvarez over Wilder because they fought and Wilder won?

Everything Manny (and especially Canelo) achieves post Floyd only makes Floyd's dominance all the more impressive to me.

Manny has been a surpassed Floyd just because you hold a win over someone doesn’t make you always greater.

zahir Raheem beat Morales but Morales is greater.

jake lamotta beat Robinson but Robinson is grater.

        same with Manny and Floyd.

No because the debate was over before Pacquaio and Mayweather fought each other.

Pacquiao could get knocked out in 10 second. It doesn’t matter.

Comon man, why would he actually have to fight Spence before we give him credit? That doesn't sound very reasonable of you

If he wins, I’d agree there’s no debate.

I see where you're going with this, but the situations don't compare for obvious reasons. Canelo was in a fair fight against a guy he outweighed by 15 pounds in the ring, and Floyd took him fair and square.

Just saying, it speaks volumes for Floyd when guys like Manny and Canelo go on to do incredible things and climb the GOAT rankings, and you go back and see that L against Mayweather where they just couldn't even touch the guy. Yet somehow Floyd is supposed to be beneath them in such consideration when he's never even lost a fight.

I thought De La Hoya was the only person that could win a fight without landing a punch.

Manny is padding floyd's resume if he continues to win in his older age as floyd beat manny when they were in their 30s, plus floyd's promotion might help to promote the fight between spence/manny and get that slice of the $$$, so floyd wins no matter how you slice it.
