Then we get the big ones announced when we never heard jack ish about negotiations or site fees, etc? Stephen Espinosa had a good quote about it and I can't remember it.

Notice - that only happens really with in-house fights. Top Rank to Top Rank, PBC to PBC, DAZN to DAZN, etc.

The big fights in the media - which is mostly Bob Arum - is using other fighters' names to sell fights. Just like Joshua said Fury did, just like Crawford is now verified to have done, etc.

Why would that somehow have changed the Wilder-Fury contract?
If they won't sign when everyone knows they will be to blame why would they in private?

          LOL, because talk is cheap.

Jose Ramirez said it best..... "When Two Fighters Really Want To Face Each Other, They'll Face Each Other"

It’s long been one of boxing’s mysteries, or at least that’s what we’re told. When it comes to the big fights not happening, we are given endless excuses, or as the non-combative combatants might say, reasons. Sometimes, we’re told, it’s just one of those things.

Eddie prefers to negotiate through the media, and tell his fans how hard he's worked and how it's a done deal for six months.

Oh it's Eddie? Not Wilder sending emails about cash in bags and telling the media? Not Fury demanding 50% in the media on the build up to the Wilder fight? Stop it. Eddie just pulls up these guys skirts and exposes them for being full of ****. They make public demands and they get their offers publicly, they then find excuses to avoid the fight.

He reminds me of that George R R Martin skit from South Park were he keeps promising “the dragons are coming”.

The publicity isn't to blame. The publicity follows these kind of protracted negotiations.

If it was done quickly, there wouldn't be time for as much publicity.
