that explains enough to me.
and what does kevin kelley have to do with anything? did bernard want to fight him at 160 too?
roy jones jr. ruled a division with no greats and only a bunch of good fighters.
bernard hopkins ruled a division with no greats and also with only a bunch of good fighters.
the difference? roy jones was in a division where everyone was bigger than him. hopkins was in a division where most everyone was smaller than him.

1) The weight drained excuse doesn't work for guys who are **** fighters like Tarver. Tarver fights the same weight drained or in great shape. Hopkins doesn't bring a big physical challenge, not strong, not powerful, not very fast. Hopkins, at 40 years old, whooped because he was MUCH MUCH more skilled, had better timing, technique and more ring IQ.
Plus Roy dropped down after a Heavyweight title fight, Tarver dropped down from a fight with 60 years old Rocky Balboa.
2)Would/ Could, etc... Those things don't mean anything. He got humiliated by them, PERIOD. I don't give a **** about what DeLa Hoya would have done to manny back then, he got whopped end of story.
