Yes,yes,& yes if you ask me. Its CRAZY how much hes downplayed in favor of others who I won't mention by name who were cherrypickers,I genuinely think he would easily clean out ww today if prime.

24:20 into the vid, you can argue Whitaker was getting so beat up that he low blowed Tito on the break(hard to see it clearly, but on higher def it does appear that he did do that.) Either way Whitaker was like a Jaguar himself in fighting form,he had every trick imaginable up his sleeve to gain an edge against what were often more powerful bigger opponents. And yet Tito was the 1st person to beat him CLEARLY.

Tito vs whitaker is one of my favorite tito fights and favorite fights in general. That being said, whitaker was WAY past it at this point. Whitaker was 15 years already as a pro, in his third weight class, was coming off a 2 year lay off and a loss from DLH, and was spiraling from drug usage. Even though his KO to hurtado was amazing, he was already showing signs of slipping, and the rivera fights too. This wasn't the same whitaker who fought buddy mcgirt. Tito would always give whitaker problems based off his size but if it was prime whitaker the fight would be so much closer, i could even see whitaker winning.

      His 147 resume is...ehhh...
oba carr, campas ended up being nothing much more than gatekeepers, but tito did fight them when they were undefeated and he finished them quicker than DLH did. he also did beat camacho.

on the record books, it says he beat DLH, but I thought DLH clearly beat him. even then, that fight showed you his limitations. if you could move and not trade with him, he became ordinary. he's a nightmare in a lot of H2H matchups because of his size and punching power, but there's quite a few i'd reckon that could beat him. Benitez if he came in his top form, i could totally see him frustrating and outpointing tito.

that being said, yes, he would totally destroy Dud Crawfish and probably Errol too.

All these welters today would not face him except Pacman. They would cry about money or some other dumb ****. Tito was at his best at 154. He did leave his mark at 147, but what could have been at 154 instead of rushing to MW. I would have love to see him unify at 154 all belts.

Pernell was 35, suffering from addiction and hadn't fought for 2 years when he got in the ring with Trinidad. lol.

Tito was the first guy to decisively beat Whitaker and he beat him down easily.

Tito definitely cleans out this average WW division he blows Bud and Spence out in brutal fashion.

Whitaker was already 15 years as a pro, 35, coming off a 2 year lay off and a loss, coke addiction, and in his 3rd weight class against a big welterweight

He was also coming off of wars with rivera, hurtado, and oscar. And that fight was everything except easy. Tito may have won decisively but he had to work hard for it. It wasn't a one sided beat down.

If you didn't leave your jaw out there to get smashed, you had a chance of winning

I would love to see Tito v DLH 2. Even today. Those two have some unfinished business
