      Roy is right....

Roy is right....De La Hoya could be a great fighter, but to talk about some else and to tell them that they need to retire is ridiculous specially when you quit fighting a smaller fighter and then retiring in shame. What a memory for a future Hall of Fame fighter, quitting on his last fight and then retiring. De La Hoya needs to take care of his own boxers first, instead of talking about other boxers because it seems like its contagious to quit on a fight just take a look at Victor Ortiz just to mention one of his own fighters. De La Hoya needs to promote his company and that's it.

Those other greats chocked against other greats too. Hell even some to non greats.

Mosley lost to Forrest. Who isn't great. TWICE
          Pac lost to 2 bums.
Hopkins has a loss on his record to Mitchell in his first fight . He also chocked against Calzaghe.
          Tito choked against Hopkins.

Oscar didn't choke against Whitaker or Chavez did he?? Thought so. Out of prime or not...those other guys are no where near these 2.

Whitaker was P4P #1 and Oscar fought him in his 25th fight. You don't see many boxers do that do you??

Why do you think Oscar is so great and became a star with fans??? Because he didn't cherry picked and fought everyone like the boxers of the old days.

Whitaker and JCC was past prime........i hope youll agree........Whitaker wasnt a robbery.........but it was close..........a testament to pea's greatness and initial signs of Oscars tendency to choke............hes a level above the quarteys, the forrest(rip) but not in the same league with Trinidad, JCC, Morales.............

See but you don't understand is that we have an inexperienced guy facing the P4P great in Whitaker so early in his career. That's something to be proud of. Whitaker isn't just any great either.....we are talking about probably the best defensive fighter of all time here.

It was in Oscar's 24th fight. Sorry.

So two boxers have opinions of each other, so what. They both have bad loses: Jones put to sleep twice (and badly hurt in one that took all the fight out of him), ODLH body shot KO and a quit on the stool. Well that is what happens when you fight the top fighters of the division. This is boxing and anything can happen
