Muhammad Ali detested Frank Sinatra

Didn't like him because he thought Frank was arrogant, which is kinda funny when you think about it. At the time of the Patterson fight, here probably wasn't a room big enough for those 2 egos.

Ali was not really ****y and arrogant, it was all an act. In the book "Muhammad Ali: Portrait of a Champion", Jack Dempsey's wife told a story of Ali meeting Jack outside the ring after the Coopman fight. Ali saw Jack and said, "Oh Jack you were the greatest." Jack replied, "Cassius (Jack did not call Ali by his ****** name), I thought you always said YOU are the greatest?" And Ali replied, "Jack, when I say I'm the greatest it's all a bunch of bullshi7!"

I'm a huge fan of both guys. I guess I never really thought about why they weren't photographed more together. My only Sinatra-Ali connection was that Sinatra was a photographer at Ali-Frazier 1.

I hope there's more context to Sinatra's side. Would be weird that he would invite Floyd to his party and then just snub him.

that's what fairweather fake fans do. They ride the wave when he wins and when he loses, they try to find the next opportunity. Ali saw Sinatra's true colors and that he was a fake and never forgave him. Takes a lot to piss off Muhammad Ali.
